What Lars Does

Lars is available for strategic planning and project management for organizations in transition. Growth, loss of key employees, downsizing, and rising costs require appropriate and timely management action. His strength is designing a practical solution process that considers the needs of customers, managers, employees, vendors, and the existing resources of the organization.

Experience

Lars believes in using whatever approach is most consistent with the client's goals. He has extensive experience as a liaison between management and technical resources such as computer programmers, hardware vendors, and on-line services. Lars has also personally designed software solutions and led programming teams to create productive solutions. He is comfortable in a wide range of roles from Unix administration to interviewing job applicants to board room presentations.

Lars' employers and clients have included Bechtel, Boeing/Rockwell, Dow/Union Carbide, Boeing/McDonnell Douglas, UC Berkeley Graduate Department of Business, City of San Francisco, and IBM. He has been principal software designer for data bases, a ticket reservation system, 3D graphics handlers, instrumentation interfaces, satellite network telecommunications, accounting packages, and artificial intelligence modules. Lars has lectured and given presentations on cybernetics and biofeedback, telecommunications, history and sociological impact of computers, and programming languages for organizations such as IBM, San Francisco City College, and Pacific Medical Center.
