Imagine Electric Dreams on roller-blades. Better, imaging Electric Dreams as a flying dream. This year we are going to collect our Frequent Dream Flyer Miles. We can begin with a ritual act. The year 2000 has captured the imagination of many. But I live in an Asian area of San Francisco, and here the year is something like 46,000. That's right, they have been through 46 millenniums. And so, while I want to watch our millennium dreams this year, I also want to tap into something more ancient. Roger Ripert has provided us with a vehicle. The winter solstice is upon us and we can all participate by incubating flying dreams on the Night of the winter solstice, 20th to 21st of December 1998. See the ALCHERINGA 2000, Planetary Dreaming information below. If you need some help with flying dreams, Linda Magallon has provided a Flying Manual in her ever useful, every provocative, every playful Dream Trek column. And don't worry if all you get is a dream snippet. In the " Watch Your Dreams" Column, Nancy Huseby Bloom shows that even the smallest of dreams can pack transformative punches. Speaking of transformation, the ed-core mail discussion group is now dream-flow. If you would like to contribute dreams or comments on dreams that are published on Electric Dreams, this is the list for you! I've included some history on the group and so has Jay Vinton. Our DreamWheel dream groups are about to try a bold new experiment. For everyone getting a dream in by the beginning of the year to dream-on, Jaye C. Beldo will weave this dream into a larger picture. This process, which he calls Integrative Dream Narration has been very successful offline and we would like to try this online as well. To join dream-on just send the following request to me at rcwilk@dreamgate.com "Hey Richard, I'm interested in the IDN project, I have a dream and want instructions on signing up". You can read more about the project below, as Jaye is reprinting the article originally published on DreamNetwork. I feel the practice of flying in dreams is a great example of how we liberate ourselves and others from repressive practices, relationships and institutions. Though many Jungians often feel that flying is for young children and adults with Peter Pan complexes, we know that the dream flying game is much more complex than this. In fact it is a key to liberation. When asleep, we often act out of our expected world than our real dream world. By doing so we remain bound by our own representations of the world. When we challenge these boundaries, the dream world changes. The same is true in waking life. As Chilton-Pierce used to say, a change in world view is a change in world viewed. The French philosopher Henry Bergson used to say that we can live in the real flow of life or we can live in abstract representations of life. In response to this, I have been developing the Postmodern Dream Series. This is a collection of thoughts taken from postmodern and poststructural theory and applied to dreamwork. Delirium, Desire and Deleuzioguattarian Dreamwork is an attempt to liberate desire at the heart of the dream from representations that seek to organize and suppress it. Speaking of flying, how about a dream tour to Malta? Jeremy Taylor is offering this and more. If this is too far to go, Peggy Coats also has a gaggle of local and regional dream workshops, conferences and lectures that will keep you mind stimulated and deepen your dream knowledge in the Global Dreaming News. The Association for the Study of Dreams will be having a large impact on the Bay Area this year. A regional conference, Dreams and the New Millennium, will take place in the East Bay in February, then a huge International conference this summer will be in Santa Cruz. Be sure to make travel plans soon and register for the conference right away. Peggy will also be hosting a Cyber Cafe at the conference and if you have a dream related web site, you will want to contact her and find how your site can participate. We have about 50 pages of dreams this month in the Dream Section. Bob Krumhansl will give you a summary and tour of these delights, the debates, the comments and more in his editorial i the DREAM section. Next Month: We had so much material this month that some of it is being saved for next month. It was originally called ed-core because Electric Dreams had a group of people who regularly commented on dreams before we published. It was never meant to be an elite group, just a dedicated one. Over time, we have developed a wide range of channels online for sharing dreams, including the dreamwheel dream groups, the art galleries, the annual swarms and a host of smaller groups and experiments. Now, the ed-core list is mostly used for those who want to contribute dreams to the Electric Dreams ezine and for those who would like to comment on those dreams, though the list is open for dream topics discussion as well. In 1999 and towards the year 2000 I would like to see the ed-core list remain open to dream sharing but to expand into a channel through which dreams flow in cyberspace, around cyberspace, out of cyberspace. A kind of cultural stream of dreams. I thought about calling the new list dream-stream but its just a little too cute. You don't have to re-subscribe to the new list if you were on e-core. You can join dream-flow by sending a email TO dream-flow-request@lists.best.com and in the body of your email put only subscribe your-email Be sure to change "your-email" to your real email address. I think in January we will have a ritual event for the end of ed-core . I'm adding some history in this issue and it would be nice if you shared some of you favorite moments or fond memories as well. Where will dream-flow flow? As mentioned, the older paths of circulation will continue. There will be circulation among subscribers, and these circulations will be edited and added to the monthly Ezine, Electric Dreams. Be sure to thank Bob Krumhansl for his part in this. bobkrum@erols.com The process of editing each month is very time consuming and a labor of love, Bob doesn't make a cent from this endeavor. Thank you Bob. Dream History will look back at this point as a very interesting transition & revolution in the Dream Movement. And thanks to all the dreamers and ed-core who have contributed comments and dreams. You have created a river of dreams in cyberspace and put a wonderful touch on the last moments of the 20th Century. It is common knowledge that when a person breaks an addiction such as smoking they often dream about their addiction but something interesting occurred after using the patch (nicoderm CQ). I began lucid dreaming nightly, some of the most wonderful dreams and I had such amazing control in the dreams. I was wondering if you have heard of this happening with anyone else? just an interesting curiosity!! > Susan From Keith Garcia at the Lucidity Institute I heard that the American Indians used tobacco as a means of inducing visions. The nicotine patches do have a warning that you may experience nightmares. This may happen if the someone wears it all night. The nightmares may happen if nicotine increases REM sleep, which would increase the emotional content of the dream, which can either cause a nightmare or bizarre emotional behavior. And both of them could help the dreamer recognize that he/she is dreaming. Whether it includes internal sensations of floating, a reaction to the body changing position in the bed or rapid-eye movement, the state of sleep is seldom a frozen zone. Indeed, sleep paralysis is a surprise to the system. Dream imagery hitches a ride on this motion. Our perception scans the background, the scene shifts and people cross our paths. Most often, the dream is not a snapshot, but a slide show or movie. And it is rare to be just a member of the movie audience. Rather, you enter onto the dream stage and become an actor in the play. You stand or sit. You walk, run or drive across the landscape. You can also fly. There is no one-size-fits-all interpretation of flying dreams. My favorite explanation links flying dreams to the out-of-body experience. In this view, flying dreams signal a shift in perception and travel in altered states. The key to dream flying is to match the movement of your consciousness with the appropriate imagery. Successful incubation of a flying dream does not start 5 minutes before you go to sleep. It begins when you wake from your last dream. 1. Recall Smooth Dream Movement. As you lay in bed, review your dream to see how you traveled through each scene. Pay special attention to smooth movement like skiing, skating or surfing. Notice when walking or riding in a car is so free of jiggles and bumps that it's like sliding across glass. You're half-way there. 2. Re-enter And Re-visualize The Dream. What if you discover, instead, that you were a dream couch potato? Take the next step forward. Imagine that, instead of sitting, you are standing. If you stood in your dream, imagine yourself walking. If you walked in your dream, run in reverie. If you ran, pretend you can run right off the surface of the earth. Then, take the next step upward. If you were dreaming at ground level, picture yourself walking up the stairs, climbing a tree or hovering above your bed. 3. Build Up A Library Of Flying Memories. Your psyche needs strong flying memories with which to construct your dream. Start in the observer mode. During the day, watch birds, butterflies, balloons or planes overhead. For a literal depiction of people in flight, view TV or the movies. 4. Move And Imagine In The Waking State. Begin at a comfortable height. Eye level is the height with which we are most familiar, and it's most easy to practice at that level in the waking state. Flowing forward motion is best experienced as a passenger in a car, plane or train. Look out the window and watch the scenery go by. Now, imagine that, instead of sitting, you are flying. Let the sense of vehicle fade away. Concentrate on the moving scenery and your moving body. Then request your dream psyche to form a dream like this. Don't be surprised if you get a sitting-flying dream. To avoid this result, get out of your seat and go for a brisk walk while you exercise your imagination. For a standing-flying dream, picture yourself flying while you're standing upright in a bus, subway or boat. For easy upward or downward movement, the escalator and elevator are your best places to practice. 5. Intend To Fly Just Before Sleep. Use regular incubation techniques, like suggesting to yourself, "Tonight, I fly in my dreams." Make sure that your recording tools are ready when you wake. Relax and visualize yourself flying while you are stretched out on your bed in your favorite flying position. 6. Avoid The Falling Dream. Imagine yourself a few inches above your bed, over a pool of warm water or within reach of a huge mound of whipped cream. Higher up, parachutes, hot air balloon tethers, flying carpets and planes can aid your flight, if you wish. Do you think you'll need a safety net? Pack one in your imagination before you sleep. In the waking state, stand on one foot to encourage inner-ear balance. Bounce, twirl and fall on your bed. Imagine flying while coming down the stairs, then jump the last step to practice landing with a satisfying flourish. A comfortable dream trip is closely related to your experiences in the waking state. You won't be troubled about the idea of flying, falling or going out- of-body when your physical body feels safe moving around in physical space. OBE expert Robert Monroe was, first of all, a glider pilot. Perhaps the best flying dreamers are those firmly grounded in waking reality. These flying tips apply to all dreamers. Lucid and out-of-body dreamers have their own special techniques. You can find some of them at the Fly-By-Night Club web site. http://members.aol.com/caseyflyer/fbnc/fbnc01.htm (Fly-By-Night Club) =+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+= Watch Your Dreams with Nancy Huseby Bloom dreaming@omnicast.net =+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+= Week of January 24, 1998 AAch! Why can't I remember my dreams this week? Scientists say we all dream several times each night and here I am, remembering none! I have intoned my dream mantra every night before going to sleep "I will remember my dreams.....I will remember my dreams......I will......" I will, I will, I will, but I don't and in the morning I find myself casting about for some image to hold onto, some feeling, sound, taste or smell that could be connected to a dream. In my slippers and bathrobe, I pad to my desk at 5 AM with my coffee and new cork bound journal and voice my complaints on her starchy-clean white sheets. "I don't know what's happening. I know I'm dreaming but my dreams are slipping away. I feel defeated, worried and angry at my lack of self discipline. I'm supposed to be the expert and I'm losing it." And then, as if in response to my sniveling and self-abuse...... ".........and the rows and rows of unfinished urns lie in wait to be used....." Like a fleeting shadow in the night, this image passes through my mind, clear and unobstructed. "GOTCHA!" I grab it and hold on with all my mental strength so it doesn't go slipping off into my dreamworld's storehouse of unrecalled dreams (where there must be zillions by now). I record it immediately, switching from my black ball-point pen to my purple one signaling in my journal that this entry is a dream. Sitting quiet for a few moments, I wait for more images to filter up to my mind. "I can work with this." I congratulate myself. Finally, with this little snippet, I hope that this dream drought is over. Like cool and cleansing water on a parched land, my little dream fragment is a welcome and precious guest. I want to savor it and drink in it's essence. I let my curiosity loose to "sniff out" the meaning of this little dreamlet. I question myself: - What are urns? "They are containers to hold or grow things in. Very feminine, like a vessel or a womb." - Why are my urns unfinished? "They remind me of all my unfinished projects: my books, my web site and my quilts. It's easy for me to be sidetracked by other interests and opportunities but I feel guilty about letting these important things just sit." - Why are they empty? "Because in order to fulfill their purpose they need to be completed, with all of the finishing touches. Once they are complete, they will have lots of potential for service." - What is this dream asking of me? "To finish what I begin. It shows that I have done the body of the work and now I need to use my energy and discipline in order to complete my goals. The rows and rows of urns might mean that I have even more to accomplish in my life. - Well, Nancy, what are you going to do about it? "I think I will take a good look at what I've been spending my time and energy on and restructure my priorities. I know I'm not very good at time management, so creating a schedule for these specific projects is a must. I could read a book on time management and I need to learn to say "NO!" to any interference with my plan. Just a tiny, insignificant dream fragment? IDN was developed offline by Jaye C. Beldo and I thought it might work well online. Jaye has joined the dream-on list, and has agreed to moderate the process. I hope you will all join in! You can use a dream we have worked on or send in a new dream to Jaye. He will send instructions out for each part of the IDN exercize, but we have included the full sequence below. Also, I am including Jaye's article on Integrative Dream Narration. This will appear next year in Electric Dreams, but Jaye felt that an overview of the process would help you resonate with the whole as well as the parts. Please read! OK, I'm turning this over to Jaye and he will explain the steps. Please at least read step 1 to join the process. - Richard STEP 1: Dream Submission a. Choose a dream that you are willing to have integrated into a 'meta-narrative'. Make sure the dream is brief and contains an important scene, person or symbol in it. b. Please send your dream to netnous@aol.com (Jaye) by the deadline of January 1st, 1999. If you miss the deadline, your dream will be integrated into the next narration. If you don't send a dream, it would be helpful to us if you send some of your reasons and feelings about this. STEP 2: Personal Response Work with Integrated Dream Story a. When the integrated dream story is posted (after I receive a sufficient number of dreams) please read the story and pay attention to how you respond when you recognize your dream in the story. Does this surprise you? Relieve you? Anger you? Please pay attention to how you respond bodily. Does your breathing get tense or do you breathe easier? b. Pay attention to how and what you dream after you read the narration as this is an important indicator as to how your sub and super conscious minds respond to the integration. Also take note of any telepathic experiences as well you may have with others who have participated. STEP 3: Posting and Discussion Please post comments on your experience with IDN in order to initiate discussion. Note: Once we become familiar with this process, we will ask for other narrators to volunteer. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ +=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+ Integrative Dream Narration by Jaye C. Beldo +=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+ In most of the groups that I've participated in throughout my life, whether educational, political, artistic, professional and even ones based on mere conviviality, the undermining elements of factionalism, ego conflicts, and various other differences have interfered with achieving a lasting sense of genuine conspiracy. Originating in the shadow sides of our psyches and hidden by our facile personas, these factors serve to discourage healthy and effective group functioning on many levels, in terms of achieving consensus, creating viable solutions to problems and gaining clarity of visionary goals/objectives for the group. Why, in spite of sharing common interests, political, socioeconomic and humanitarian values, are we unconsciously antagonistic towards the groups we choose to be a part of? What kinds of subjective reluctance do we harbor in fully contributing ourselves to the group consciousness? James Hillman observes that, "the Self is the interiorization of community" . Yet what exactly prevents us from reaching the Self, the ultimate core of the psyche and experiencing truly universal communion with others? My experiences with persistent group dysfunction prompted me to develop "Integrative Dream Narration"(IDN). I first tried IDN on a class of art students who, along with myself included, could not fully cooperate with one another in a way conducive to our spiritual, artistic and intellectual well being. I had each participant write a dream synopsis on a note card, emphasizing to use symbolic, transformative dreams concerning wholeness, i.e., getting in contact with the Self (meaning the ultimate core or nucleus of the psyche). I then combined the dreams to create a collective story in which all could listen to and participate in since each individual dream contributed to the cohesiveness of the narration. The inherent fluidity of dreams became much more apparent for I did not have to struggle to synthesize the dreams for they all seemed to coalesce on their own accord like tributaries flowing naturally into a river and then into the communal ocean. Instead of assuming the role of an improviser or story teller, I was more like a mediator of the unconscious mind of the group. When I finished the story, class members sat in peaceful silence. The narration had evoked a shared consciousness amongst us. We all seemed to be open to one another and breathing together in the true sense of conspiracy. We experienced what the Greeks meant by agreement: symphonein, meaning: to resonate together. No one was prompted to speak right away. The silence was not an uncomfortable one. We all enjoyed this feeling of being fully present, instead of just pretending to be together under the guise of a shared interest. None of us, it seemed, needed to follow the impulses of our egos to rationalize and explain the experience away. During the rest of the class, we were able to come to a consensus as to how the remainder of the semester would be navigated and actually came up with a syllabus which all agreed upon. I have since employed Integrative Dream Narration to enhance the integrity of many different collectives, from musical, spiritual to political, with very effective, although never predictable results. Many of the resistances we have towards surrendering to a group consciousness, resistances deeply rooted in fear, loosen up and a newfound integrity is created. The word, "Integrity" has its etymological meaning in: "entire, untouched, unmarred, an original state." What has so thwarted the success of many different groups, I feel, has been the inability to recognize such a sense of entirety and originality that is always present, if only subliminally. Alcheringa or dream time, for example, the Australian Aborigines considered to be the original state of the world prior to the arrival of human beings. The world in its unmarred entirety. IDN serves to facilitate a contact with primordial community, encouraging an experience of inter relatedness that helps to diminish many anxieties and isolating/alienating effects that are deliberately promoted in consumerist societies where the power of authority is abused through MMIC. A holistic communication, both in speaking, listening and feeling becomes possible once the collective dream matrix is brought into awareness and utilized, substantially grounded in the body politic, so to speak. Since many illnesses, both somatic and psychic are induced and prolonged by blockages, encouraging the opening up of communicative channels on all levels, both conscious and unconscious, allows mind, body and spirit to align themselves to a healing sensibility, not only from within oneself but from within others as well. IDN influences and heightens ones awareness of shared experiences, of the subtle body, that are for the most part rooted in unconsciousness and remain unrecognized by most of us, especially when we spend so much of our time maintaining our protective personas when we are amongst others outside of the comfortable circle of our families and friends. Dreams in themselves have a fluid, autonomous quality to them. We are constantly astonished by what our unconscious minds can create. The word, "Influence", has its origins in the word, "Fluid". Directing the current of dreams towards communal integrity can greatly enhance the success and effectiveness of small group functioning and its influence upon our collective environment. The profound sense of inter relatedness evoked by IDN, has its basis in synchronicity, or the merging of outer and inner events to create meaning, to paraphrase it in Jungian terms. IDN evokes synchronicities as a result of the dreams being combined. On an intuitive level, awareness of synchronicity becomes heightened, in not only the narrator but the participants as well and influences the 'direction' the narration takes by sensing what is occurring when each individual integrates into the group dream dynamic. The matrixes which synchronicities occur within as well can be perceived, more like experienced, i.e., the psychic space which encompasses both inner and outer worlds in which so called coincidences happen. Imagine the possibilities of creating atmospheres where synchronicities occur like a lightning storm, through our combined dreams. I once gave a demonstration of IDN to forty people at Unity Church in Minneapolis, Mn. Six souls volunteered to participate and contributed their chosen dreams. One dream concerned a woman who was led by three angels to what she called a "Wellness Spa.", but she didn't know how to run the place. Another woman dreamed that her grandmother was pregnant. One participant dreamed that her ex-boyfriend appeared and told her how sad he was that they were no longer together. During the course of the spontaneous narration, everyone arrived at the wellness spa where there was a fountain in the center. I always emphasize communal places where all can gather in the narrations I conduct. The grandmother gave painless, underwater birth to a golden baby. The baby was then handed to the woman who came to the fountain with her ex-boy friend. I finished the narration, making sure all dreams offered were included in the story and listened to the enthusiastic comments from the participants and the audience. Afterwards, the woman who dreamed about her ex-boyfriend came up to me and confided, "I didn't want to say this in front of everyone but the reason that my boyfriend and I broke up is because I want to have a child." As I proceeded with the narration, something in me or rather, in the Integrated Dream Community, intuited this and had the baby handed to the couple as some sort of reconciliation that I intuitively sensed was needed. The combination of these dreams created the matrix in which this synchronicity took place. As the narrator, my sense of individuality became less and less pronounced as all the dreams were combined. Perhaps synchronicities occur outside of the realm of the ego and it is only when we are not solely in this realm that we experience them. The synchronicities that occurred during the narration manifest also in bodily response in both the narrator and participants. At first there is a considerable amount of tension, which is natural when strangers come together to form a group. The tension usually is born of the illusion of separation the participants sense in each other. Breathing becomes restricted (the antitheses of conspiracy or breathing together). But when all the dreams are integrated, the tension dissolves and what I sense as the collective heart begins to open up, the heart of understanding which transcends judgment, definition and ego centered identity. Interiorization of the communal heart in turn opens ones own heart creating a reciprocal balance between self and group. As I proceed with the narration I feel blockages in my own body begin to open, for my body is but a microcosm of the collective dream macrocosm. I cannot emphasize enough for participants to pay attention to their bodies during the narration. The results of opening are beneficial in allowing a person to respond to their own dreams in a way devoid of the usual anxieties born of trying to interpret (as opposed to integrating) the dreams. In another IDN session with two alternative health practitioners, I integrated the dreams but somehow felt compelled to 'control' the atmosphere. I was the only man in the room and the other participants brought in some very powerful, archetypal figures. One in particular was the goddess Oya, the African Goddess of 'Weather'. My third chakra, the chakra of will power became tight. There was such resistance within me that I could hardly carry on with the narration. I then felt it was safe to make myself a bit vulnerable and asked for help from the others, something I would probably never do under other circumstances. I then found myself surrounded by the other participants who began doing some energy work on me. I managed to trust it. The woman who brought Oya to the forum-kept reminding me that the rocks of blockage and resistance she perceived in my gut would be worn away by some soothing water. She kept repeating this while circling her hand near my solar plexus. Suddenly, it started raining outside. As the drops hit the window panes and I felt myself relaxing even more. I managed with the help of the dream polis, to overcome some very deeply fixed control issues through this atmospheric synchronicity. Once awareness of the relation between ones body and the integrated dream body is heightened and then trusted, an interactive stage seems to set in as cited in the above example. Participants are asked in many ways to contribute to the narration, instead of just one person creating what happens. The interaction takes place not only in oral articulation of dreams but in working with imagery, movement and energy as well, creating a foundation on which to base further involvement in collective dream work. In essence, a Dream Democracy is being created every time IDN is used. Integrative Dream work has not only promising therapeutic potentials but most importantly, political possibilities as well. I sense that with each IDN, a revival of the original democratic spirit occurs. This potentials of this sense of renewal will explored in the chapters that follow. Dream Democracy can be used to integrate the dreams of a dysfunctional family to create a harmonious dream consciousness. Consider the long range benefits of democratizing the dreams of the board members of major corporations with its employees. Or consider integrating the dreams of a republican with those of a democrat. Consider the theoretical possibilities of integrating the dreams of quantum physicists. The collective dream body created from such integrations could hold the key to long range solutions to some of our most immediate and seemingly intangible problems. There are several ways the information in this book can be used. I suggest forming a group that meets once a week for at least eight weeks. Have each participant bring along a journal in which to record their experiences in. In the appendix are additional guidelines in case there are issues that arise in the group. Dream Democracy is a powerful catalyst which can trigger powerful experiences ranging from telepathy, clairvoyance and synchronistic experiences. Here are some suggested guidelines for creating the initial forum: INTEGRATIVE DREAM NARRATION 1. Have each participant (there should be no more than five or six) sit in a circle and pass around note cards. The dream narrator should leave the room. Participants are instructed to write their dreams down, legibly, particularly ones that are highly symbolic and important to them. The dreams should not be read by other participants. A synopsis of the dream is adequate as long as a meaningful scene or symbol is included. Extended or complicated dreams do not work well. Always emphasize to write down an important scene in the dream, if the dream itself is too long but the participant wants to contribute it. 2. The dream narrator enters the room, sits down and reviews the note cards that have been gathered, by shuffling through them and imprinting images, sequences even the tone of dreams in her/his memory. Dream Narrators should go through the cards two or three times. Writing down clues as to how the dreams should be connected, on a separate sheet of paper is helpful in making sure all dreams are integrated. I write the dreams down in a circle and leave the center open. 3. The Dream Narrator initiates the Integrative Dream Narration by using one of her/his dreams, one that has been evoked by reviewing the note cards and or a pre-chosen dream. Once a portion of the dream is conveyed the narrator begins to integrate participants dreams into the story. The narrator can pause and instruct the participants to pay attention to their bodies throughout the narration, i.e., changes in breathing, where they are holding tension, where they are relaxing, where they are resisting, where they are harmonizing. 4. Make sure to include all dreams before continuing on. When all the participants's dreams have been integrated, the narrator pauses and allows the participants to sense the integral presence of the collective dream matrix evoked by incorporating all dreams into the narration. The participants are instructed to begin breathing deeply for a few moments, noting where they may be holding tension in their bodies and encouraging them to let go of the tensions. 5. The Integrative Dream Narration is resumed and then brought to some 'completion', i.e., a sense of wholeness and/or resolve. A dream polis has thus been created, a Dream Democracy, where real life problems can be brought into the dream forum and discussed in truly egalitarian fashion without the usual resistances and ego differences. After practicing IDN a few times and becoming familiar with the energies of group consciousness, it will then be time to start bringing real life, 'three dimensional' problems, ranging from the personal to the galactic into the forum you have evoked. It is important to have other members try their hand at IDN and creating a forum, so that all will be comfortable with the group consciousness that has been created. You will begin to notice different styles of narration between group members. For example, some will choose a narrative based on the symbols in the dreams. Others will choose the characters in the dreams and others will emphasize the locations and passageways and others will emphasize direction. Other participants will focus on the feeling tones (atmospheres) in the dreams. No two narrations are ever the same. Often times there will be members of the group who are very resistant to the idea of assuming the position of dream narrator. It may take a few sessions before they feel comfortable with the psychnique. Some important points to consider before proceeding: In the initial phase of IDN, the very first time dreams are integrated, there are often times very powerful releases of emotions. Sometimes the tension grows to a somewhat uncomfortable level, but once all the dreams are integrated and the collective finds itself in a safe place, a feeling of peace and wholeness usually then emerges. There may be feelings of spaciness and disorientation at first. Such often occurs when new ways of being and perceiving arise within us and seek expression. Hence the notion of 'fixing ' such a shared consciousness-in essence focusing it on the political realms. Our dream body is then grounded in three dimensional reality. I often hear from participants how powerful the first Integrative Dream Narration experience was for them. I must remind the reader that the word power comes from the Spanish Poder meaning 'to be able'. Perhaps these participants were able to trust the group-somehow settling into the group mind more comfortably. As an Integrative Dream Narrator you will often times watch other group members experience these things and then learn how to encourage others to settle into the group mind. Other participants may not experience the 'connection' that most do during IDN. Somehow they feel 'left out' and or feel they are inadequately prepared for the experience. Such is not the case. It usually is that they are more resistant than others to surrendering to and/or integrating into the group consciousness. Or the dream they provided for the narration wasn't one that was particularly important to them. Often times, participants will claim that they cannot remember their dreams. If this is the case, have them contribute an unusual 'real life' experience they have had to the forum. They will usually then integrate themselves more freely into the dream forum! At the end of each IDN session, I recommend that you do the grounding/centering exercise in the appendix, to restore a sense of 'individuality' to each group member-and especially, when exploring the imaginal dimensions of MMIC to call the group energy back from these places. e-mail: Netnous@aol.com The article appeared in Dream Network Vol. 13 #3 and more recently in Green Egg autumn '98 issue. The primary one is that dreams "represent" something. I love representations and working with dreams and association. I don't plan to abandon this path either. But this process also needs to be challenged. I often get lost in my representations and forget about the thing itself. These essays in postmodern dreaming are an attempt to liberate habitual thinking and allow what is most essential in dreamwork to emerge and thrive. - Richard Abstract: A great deal of dream work involves notions of representation, analogy and identity. These conceptual frameworks often work in clinical situations to bring about much needed ego-strengths and emotional comfort, but may impede the breakthrough into the unknown, hinder the production of novel connections and impede the liberation of desire in radical forms. The Post Structural work of Giles Deleuze and Felix Guattari may offer some new approaches that undermine the tendencies of representation to territorialize and dominate a particular organization or identity and create creative lines of escape. Applying to dreams forms of theory that avoid notions of similarity, representation and desire as "lack" may similarly expose repressive forms of identity structuring, open new avenues of behavior and allow for the radical transformations though productive connections with the world. Delirium, Desire and Deleuzioguattarian Dreamwork "Analysis is paralysis." Martin Luther King Richard's Dream: Several photojournalists, including myself, are given permission to visit at the prison. But the prison is in the desert and we have to go down an empty water well to get there. The prison below is well lite, and has the look of an excavated Minoan or maybe Mayan city. But the conditions are appalling. The prisoners in the adobe cells are underfed, starving, wearing rags. I secretly turn on the video camera to capture some of this. Soon we climb back up out of the well. As we exit, a large 30 foot diameter hoop or circle of glowing light around the perimeters rises out of the ground a few feet and hovers . We are frozen and terrified. Eventually it sinks back into the ground. One of the ongoing concerns of those engaged in the practices of freedom and liberation is that the ideas, organizations (and plans to get there) continually become just exactly what they set out to overcome. It seems that where-ever there is a way to organize and represent something, there is soon to follow a pattern of that organization selfishly organizing itself, and selfishly representing all things in terms of itself. The thinking among many Postmodern theorists (and others) suggests that the culprits are organization and representation themselves. This has lead for many to a shift in world-view. The traditional view holds that there is a real world out there and we simply have to find the right representation of it to connect. Here reality is found or discovered. Another view is that reality is always a social construction and we connect by sharing in that construction. While the Kennedys studied and analyzed the problem of civil rights, the Kings took to the streets. Another way we embrace this struggle is in the liberation of desire. Some seek to find ways for desire to fit into the narrow channels that culture offers it in limited expression, while others seek to re-assemble the whole notion of desire and create a proliferation of unheard-of alternative trajectories transecting both central and marginal cultural space. There are a multitude of practices that engage these two concerns, how to get desire out of prison and how to stay out, and I will be using two somewhat obscure fish out of this multitude and allowing them to swim together. The first will be a few of the theories or suggested practices of Giles Deleuze and Félix Guattari and the second will be the theories and practices of dreamwork. Dreamwork is the collection of practices and texts that involve forms of engaging dreams. It needs to be differentiated from Freud's dream-work. Dreamwork assembles both clinical and non-clinical practices, interpretive and non-interpretive approaches, cultural and anthropological treatments, dream inspired art and literature, and a host of other practices in normative and extraordinary dreaming. It is characterized better as a collage of pieces from many aspects of life than as a singly defined field. The dream-work of Freud refers to the wheels and gears that produce the disguised fulfilment of a latent thought, including visual representation, displacement, condensation, symbolization and secondary revision. Freud's dream-work may be considered a kind of subset of dreamwork, albeit an unconscious one. Giles Deleuze and Félix Guattari (D&G) are most often represented as poststructural theorists who have collaborated in a mutual project of militant politics and philosophy seeking the liberation of desire through the overcoming of repressive forms of organization, from the smallest static partial identities to the largest authoritarian political organizations. Seeking to avoid totalizing practices themselves, they have not left a whole coherent theory but rather a collage of concepts which they suggest others may pick and choose from like tools from a carpenter's box. If an overall goal has to be stated, it might be said that D&G seek in applied radical theorizing-practice to liberate the ways that our desire has been programmed and to proliferate fields of freedom where we can cross over into the most fabulous and unexpected engagements of life. Dreams, Desire and Delirium Like desire (and madness) dreams have followed a similar history in overflowing the dominate reality structures, side stepping cultural expectations and opening new paths. They also share in the process of continually being re-pressed, re-coded an re-presented in ways that conflict less with the current power structures. Like desire, finding systems that can contain dreams is not easy. All the axis religions began with dream sharing and ended up repressing the sharing of dreams when these night brood began conflicting with the orthodoxy. Jerome's mistranslation in the Vulgate bible of "witchcraft" as "dream interpretation" sent more than a few women during the Inquisition to a flaming death. But perhaps the more insidious interpretation is mother's whisper in our ear, "Its just a dream...". Opening the door and stepping out Though dreaming takes up a quarter of our life we generally, as a culture, remember very few of our dreams. However, access is a fairly easily learned skill that involves a few easy steps in preparation and recording. This training applies to hearing any marginally located dialogue. The habitual mind hears the same thing every morning beginning with its first amnesia creating shock treatment, the alarm. We immediately begin to salivate, excuse me, I mean focus on our tasks; shower, breakfast, clothes, meeting, tasks for the day, where are my keys? And away we go. Preparing to hear something different requires a break in this flow. The desire to hear something different already supplies the break, and in a way, it is the break. The first break needs to occur as close to awakening as possible. Micro-seconds count here. Seconds count less, minutes and its all over and too late. Keep the mind as empty as possible. Bergson has noted about time that the more experiences we have, the faster time seems to go. People who deal with the issue of not having enough time by accumulating experiences are simply turning the faucet on high and causing the condition they seek to escape. Come close to the abyss, the void is full. Having the desire or intention to not lose your dream, and making space in the micro-seconds upon awakening are usually not enough to keep the dream doors open. Some form of recording, usually vocal or writing, allow us to access the dream images at a later time. But note that the re-called dream and the re-corded dream are already doubly interpreted or filtered experiences. Still, these recordings and rememberings help us to bring forward a host of new emotional and other connections. They are the placenta of new experience. Experimentation with recording methods; notepads, lovers whispering in each others ears and tape recorders will each produce different kinds of results and connections. Networked computer systems now offer alternatives to traditional recording. Dreams as texts move in cyberspace at odd angles and produce new social connections. Boundaries of the dream. I may have already ruined my project of liberation in even suggesting a D&G dreamwork. Using the word "dream" is itself a highly representational move marking off various boundaries and closing down other potentials. Like a multitude of other states, that dream is an endless weaving together of other singular states, each of which is itself a collision of other impulses, each with their own levels of intensity, motives, becomings. Much that we do before going to sleep alters the dream. Has the dream already begun? With the discovery of REM sleep in the 1950's, it was thought that all dreams occurred during REM. Now dreams reports have been elicited from all levels of sleep. And all dreams are not the same. Some seem to be mere snippets of thought, some titanic nightmares, some common place. Some dreams have characters that know it is a dream, and take volitional control of the dream. Upon awakening, the pictorial imagery fades first, but often the heart continues to rapidly beat, and feelings extend over a lifetime. What is the limit of the dream? Like desire, dreams continually rise up and distribute themselves over the world. Mechanisms in the lower brain stem inhibit this distribution to a paralyzed body during REM, and culture overcodes the left overs, to the point in our culture of paralyzing nearly a quarter of our life into oblivion. Yet I feel the project can continue as dreams also form their own plane of consistency between two large attractors - the deep dreamless sleep and the waking world. The dream as a system tends towards both of these almost by chance, lives within a various margin of deviation and eventually ends in disorder. Each dream is its own world and defines it own existence and has its own local and global resonance. It is a kind of singularity, it is an assemblage. It functions to connect things. Transition: Filiation to Alliance Ron's Dream: We are driving in the country, there are several orchards. We come to a tree that Asher wants to show me on one of the dirt road corners. Its a large leaved tree with dozens of shrunken heads hanging from the branches. I have the feeling the tree is being used by some local cult involved with primitive occult practices. A swarm of butterflies pass by. I panic about the cult returning and begin flying away. With the history of dream sharing comes the history of dream interpretation. We might say that when one shares with us something odd, there is reactive need to contain it. Generally these practices look at the dream as a message that needs to be de-coded, or re-coded in a system of understanding. Studies in anthropology note that dream interpretations tend to follow the pattern of re-orienting the dreamer back into the culture. This is true from the Hopi who need keep a close eye on all resources in the desert, to the psychoanalytic milieu that needs to bring the neurotic back into filiation with the modern family, city, nation. All of these require the dream to be a representation. Once this move is made, the only question becomes the filiation, to what class or group does the dream belong? By movements of association and similarity, the dream and its elements are shuffled into various categories, each category with its own branch, each branch its own trunk and each family its own tree. Surrounding each of these movements towards representative capture are alternative paths, and cooperation and alliance with them lead us into difference rather than similarity. Freud felt that through free association we would arrive at something unheard of, completely unknown. Slightly better than representation is symptom. Still, the symptom's value is in what it refers to, and shades of representation color the process. Free association turns out to not be very free at all. Free association would be where the associations of words could cross over into actions and move off the couch and into the world. If you stand up in a psychoanalytic office, you will be asked to lie right back down. It becomes quickly clear where the libido is really being channelled. There is a form of association practiced in Jungian therapy that is similar, yet different. At one level it appears even more insipid. Instead of freely associating, wandering where-ever, there is a circling around a particular dream image. " I have a blue bird in my dream. Birds, birds, well, flight, feather, spirit, soaring, freedom, laying eggs. Blue, blue, ah yes, expansive, sad, deep. How it this all a metaphor for my own life? I am like a spirit that wants to find expansive yet deep freedom, and I want to pass on this to succeeding generations and I'm sad this isn't working out...". Again, when the dream image is a representation for other things, the movements tend towards the know and the similar. Archetypal psychology can degenerate into stereotypical psychology. Images get put into specimen symbol boxes, symbols placed in categories of mythic stories, mythic stories in families of universal truths. But this isn't what Jung intended, even if the fantasy of future wholeness looms on all this horizons. To the degree that we are able to stay with the unfamiliar tensions (in this case, of the dream), is the degree to which something very different and unique can occur. And so, continue circling around the dream image as if it were a representation, and keep spewing out more representations, just keep doing it until it gets very, very intense. Every representation contains the seeds of its own destruction and the birth of something real. The alchemists noted that in order to reach the goal, heat must be applied. Archetypal psychologist James Hillman has (somewhat humorously) suggested that the very moment we go "Ah, ha - so that's what it means!" we need our Zen Master to be there to slap us in the face and say, "Keep going!" Much of what follows are suggestions for setting up an alliance with the unfamiliar movements of the dream rather than finding abstract categories that they may represent. But both directions are part of the infinity of processes that envelope the liberation of the dream. Every content and its expression is being organized at a distance by one abstract machine or another. Becoming Other: Mutant Trajectories Like desire (and madness) dreams seem to be the most powerful when they bring us into contact with radical otherness. Daniel brings Nebruchanezer into contact with a dream that transforms the religions of Babylon. Joseph brings Pharaoh into contact with a dream that alters the state of Egypt. Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is written after a Robert Lewis Stevenson encounters his own Hyde in a dream. Freud and Jung encounter desire and madness in dreams and create and alter the course of psychotherapy. This radical otherness is better characterized as a continual process of becoming other, which begins in the desire to escape bodily limitations. These limitations can be both cultural as well as natural. To regress back to representations for a moment, in dreams we often find ourselves up against our own cultural and psychophysical limit-expectations. We stop at red lights in our car in a dream. We open dream doors. We walk upstairs and eat meals. Yet in other dreams we fly, we breath water, we walk through walls, men become women, we can be several identities at once, we become animals and crooks, we have sex with taboo people and inanimate objects. Let me say this another way. Suppose for a moment you were granted freedom from all the forces that repress you, with one stipulation: no one told you about this gift. There are a myriad of forces that keep this from being so, even in a dream, but the tendency in dreaming is towards this supposition. And so in dreams we begin to see what we are holding in place despite our freedom, plus we begin to form in a more malleable medium a myriad of other becomings. Intense struggles envelop every process. The difference between content and expression is the that one force dominates (expression) and one force is dominated (content). The struggle for freedom involves constraints and the desire to leave them behind. Jim's Dream: I walk down a hill in the neighborhood and cross a dirt field. It begins to rain and I have a harder and harder time crossing. We begin moving into a becoming of the scene by diagraming the other. This is not an imitation or acting, but a mapping that moves into the function of the other: I begin struggling against the resistant muck. The muck was just in my dream, so how can I really struggle against it without being mere imitator of the scene? By finding the closest muck that is possible. Fritz Perls would have a person struggling against a group of people forming, in this case, the muck. The dreamer might push against other people helping to create a resistance, or a piece of furniture. The key at this point is to keep making it really mucky. Less representation, more direct contact. The dreamer tries to diagram the man in the muck, to step into his shoes without acting, but beginning with a drama none the less. Perls would say one needs to get past the game-playing and bullshit to the real. We want to go past play acting and really get the feel of the muck crossing. Other parts of the dream are brought into this becoming. The muck that resists Jim is a force that can also be diagramed as well. If this were Gestalt session, a dialogue between the two might occur, Jim would be the man in the muck, but then switch and speak as the muddy field itself. That's fine, but the diagraming here is less interested in the dialogue than a third force that can emerge in the struggle, a hybrid man-field as the applied logistics of ways the body can connect with itself and the world. We are seeking a transformation rather than a resolution. In ancient Delphi, people would sleep on the steps of the temple of Apollo, seeking (incubating) the dream that would allow them access to the oracle inside. Mythically, this access to the truth was a later imposition of Apollo on a pre-Greek people who practiced dance and rites that were assigned by the Greeks to Dionysos. Pan is one of his entourage and was said to have taught Apollo dream work at Delphi. In the Dionysian groups, the questions or problems, if that is what they really were, were danced along the hillsides and meadows and involved transformations in ecstasy. This moving-into may be distinguished from Apollo's seeing-from afar. With the dominance of Apollo, the dramas were all contained in the amphitheater and the ecstasies relocated to the dream (and the one oracle, who was imprisoned in the center of the temple and surrounded by the priests who did all the interpreting of visions and dreams). This same set-up was found in the cult of Asklepios (Aesculapius in Latin). At these popular dream healing sanctuaries the amphitheater was ever near the spa. The patients would be cured when they encountered Asklepios or one of his family or animals in a dream. The becoming other, so to speak, was limited to particular containing vessels. Still, Dionysos is seen as Apollo's dark brother and has his own months where he is still the god at Delphi. Remaking Interpretation: from Meaning to Function Trajectories "Their are no data, only interpretations" Friedrich Nietzsche The most intense and important movements of freedom emerge continually from the prisons that unceasingly form around each act. I recall as a kid reading a series of stories in the pulp Sci-Fi Magazine Analog about a culture who set their criminals outside the city wall in a land where they were free to do whatever they wanted. The only restriction was that they had to keep moving. If they sat down for more than a few minutes, a small ceiling would form above the head. This ceiling would disappear after some waking. Stay in place for hours and soon walls would began form as well. Finally, the floor would form and that was it, no way to walk it off and one would starve, trapped in the box. Though the focus of a D&G dreamwork will not be on the meaning of the prison, the way the prison functions may lead to new concepts and tools to undermine its structures. The meaning of a dream is too often the dominating force. The expression of the dream is the force that wins the struggle, the content is the becoming of the dream that is molded. By shifting to the functions of the dream, interpretation becomes not so much a forcing of life into a perspective as a revealing or unfolding of the many perspectives that are currently in play. Tracking these trajectories we can find, diagram and play with them to determine which can serve as indicators that are capable of becoming intense enough to change the direction of a situation. In other words, what parts of the dream function to boost our freedom, our humor, or willingness to jump from one frame of reference to another? Prisons: Incorporeal Transformations. Abstract machines are at work everywhere, and no where are they more apparent than in magical ceremonies where a person is passed over from one category to another. Let's look at the natural process where a child is born. "It's a girl!" Only words have been spoken here, no real corporeal change. But these words indicate what has really happened, and much of the child's future has already been decided, the status of the child permanently altered, its legal and sexual avenues and rights, the force of cultural beliefs and opinions, the attitudes of the siblings and bosses and workers. The transformation almost goes unnoticed because gosh, all we were really doing is looking to see if it was a girl or a boy. Yet chances are this supple being has now irrevocably been inscribed with tattoos so deep they will probably never be removed nor transcended. Incorporeal transformations. Notice how the legal and other forms of status change with the words "I Do." as well. One abstract machine produces little girls and boys, the another husband and wives. Yet it is at these very spots that a myriad of alternatives exist. Where-ever there is prison, there is marked around it an open field. Besides being boys and girls we can be green eyes and blue eyes and brown eyes. "Its a Green eyes!" Where ever there is monogamy we have all the alternative outside of this practice. Dreams can help us not only practice locating these false transformations, but offer alternatives as well. These shifts can happen in both life and dreams at religious rituals, ceremonies, life transition stages, job interviews, school tests, and the most personal and intimate of moments. Manipulative people know how to use these, ("Oh yes, I love you") and so should the dream traveler. At each of these magical moments, desire is overcoded. That is, the coding of desire is re-arranged or decoded from one channel and re-coded into another. Let us look for a moment at an American beer commercial. To re-code desire, one must first turn up the heat. Desire is typically coded in the targeted commercial viewer to flow at the sight of a beer maid who could be from a Playboy magazine. We might say it has been pre-territorialized by the culture. But the Beer company would like a little of that desire to flow towards their product. So they turn up the heat. Desires are allowed to flow, and desire always overflows its boundaries, so there is some that is deterritorialized. In other words, the targeted viewers get goofy and juiced. This extra desire is then re-coded in the beer, or that is the attempt, anyway. Classical behaviorism at one level, but something else occurs in the process. This all occurs within the realm of capital society. The medium of exchange itself tends to deterritorialize all other values and re-code them along lines of capital. Old alliances and filiations to tribe, totem, or deity are decoded and reterritorialized on capital. As tragic as this is for aboriginal people and medieval society, it give us the chance to enter into this game and begin to do our own recoding. Sarah's Dream: An old family of vampires lives in a dusty house in the country. But now the serenity of their existence is over as smugglers that run the Micronesia channels have invented a kind of electric box that when stepped on captures vampires and sends them into an eternal hell. I see the vampire dog they have caught, they keep it in a small cage. The scene changes as a vampire is being prepared to be sent into eternal hell. They have him tied to a mining cart and are about to roll the cart down a dark shaft. The Theater of Cruelty. Content analysis reveals that more than half of our dreams are unpleasant. From the viewpoint of liberation, this is a hopeful statistic that gives credence to the notion that dreams are already engaged in the practices I am suggesting we might enhance with dreamwork. While we may in general be seeking a life that is more pleasurable and fulfilling, moving into rather than away from pain has many benefits. If we continually follow only what is tried and true to get us off, then the channel becomes more and more rigid and constricted. By mapping what is wretched we can begin to get alternatives to the dominant libidinal investments. Productive Unconscious. I thought I might finish this essay on dreams without ever using the word "Unconscious". It has come to mean about as much as the word "American", that is, so much that it becomes a hindrance rather than a facilitator. But for a moment, I'd like to bring out the notion of D&G of the unconscious in the same way we have been talking about desire and dreams. Not as a repository of representations which they are referring to something other than themselves, nor a lack of some object which they are seeking, but as productive assemblages of desire. If there has to be any one thing that they produce, then let's call it connections. How to attune the ear to productions so we can enter in, diagram them and begin to experiment? There is the production of all processes of selection, elimination, generation. There is the producing of the new, of artistic, scientific, and technical connections. There is the production of relations. There is the composition of rhythms and the production of the duration and enduring of moments. There is the production of the enlargement of the scope of perception and complexity, the production of the immune response, the production of ecological caretaking. What is being produced by the dream? The Dream Subjectivities. While dreaming we say we are in the dream, but when we awake we forget this and talk about the dream being in us. It seems we could remember that there is always some perspective or another mediating our experience. In a dream I may be myself, or myself at another age. But I can also be other people altogether, other things. One direction we can go is to say that the ego, the I that tells me who I am in the morning, is simply one of many structures that envelop the process of becoming and its nature of feeling it is the central structure of any becoming it (I) participate in is its (my) charm and its (my) illusion. Rather than becoming so concerned about who and what we are identified with in the dream, perhaps an acceptance of the I as one of the many processes will allow us to have more time to diagram and become these others, or to look at how we sustain relationships. What is our attitude in the dream to time, to rhythm, to colors, to space, to body, to sexuality? Jung and Perls like to see the dream itself as a subjectivity. As mentioned, in this stance, all parts of the dream become lost aspect the "I". Perls would even have people put the phrase "part of me" after each part of the dream. The window (part of me) is open (part of me) at the end of the hall (part of me). However, as James Hillman has noted, this tends to allow the ego the "I" part of me to gobble up the whole dream. He would rather see the dream has having its own destiny and the (willful) ego in this scheme needs to learn how to meet these other dream figures on their own ground. Sticking with them becomes intense and leads to their unknown. Sticking them to our already formed identity strengthens that identity. Sometimes we need to accept our room as ours, other times we need to find the key and open the door to the cell. From the couch to culture. Seeking the functions of a dream, diagraming new becomings and cooperating with the new and weird may work well in a private setting or improvisational drama class, but how does the production connect in the politics of the everyday? My suggestion will seem absurd, but it is a preferable social-political stance to be laughable than to be hopeful: a new dream each night may be an assemblage through which one finds the novel mutant becoming of the following day. Sarah (vampire dream) might spend the day coming into contact with as many aspects of the vampire in her life as possible, or some assemblage of damned-vampire-dog-smugglers. In a traditional dreamwork, this would all remain metaphorical. How is getting up like a vampire, the day sucking the blood of the night? How is my boss like a vampire, how am I like a vampire on the bus, and so on. But a dreamwork of becoming is not just about metaphors but connections that transform. Here Sarah might seek connection of the vampire assemblage in bringing her intensity to break directly into the normal flow of her life. There will be embarrassment, humiliation and failure. There will be the places at which the vampire assemblage comes up against its connective limits. What are these and how do these limits react to the new assemblage? How might she bite directly into the veins of her life and smuggle the marginal desires into the sectors that warehouse and bind all that makes her vibrate? The vampire assemblage may or may not find sufficient enough consistency to stand the light of day nor change the direction of any significant direction. But each becoming gives us more humor and ability to jump again and to withstand more creative tension. The process needn't be eternal. For every vampire there is a wooden stake and each becoming a coming and going. The question for us here is not how to establish new dictators, but rather how we as vampire assemblages can endure the wooden stake. Dreamwork in Cyberspace: The Swarm. The nomadic subject: the free autonomous subject which exists momentarily in an ever shifting array of possibilities as desiring machines distribute flows across the body without organs. A contraption conjures the notion of something taped together with heterogeneous found objects, clunking, churning, improvising, working through bricolage Metaphors of space, even virtual cyberspace, tend towards representations that drain desire. Time may be a better metaphor for becoming. Cyberspace may be more intensely lived in the new connections and breaks in old connections that need to be endured rather than distancing spaces it creates between people and institutions. I've noticed that people who use the Internet to gather information are less interested in this new field than those who enter to connect with others. In this sense, the Internet is a becoming. Temporarily, digitally mediated fields attract various contraptions which distribute the flow of desire in an array of short lived connected flows. Desire breaks into old flows and creates new connections. It was only a short time before dreams began to enter into the play and create their own connections. Dreamwork online began in dream sharing through e-mail. Sometimes this was a simple as the kind of dream sharing that occurs at the water-cooler at the office, "Hey, I had the weirdest dream last night...", and sometimes the dream would be shared in a group discussion mail list producing new connections among variety of e-mail routes. Just as the Internet itself formed a pragmatic case of a D&G subject group (free autonomous subjects that connect momentarily in a ever shifting array of virtual-potentials), so to did the online dream group. The offline struggle between what is clinical and what is non-clinical dream work continued online. Even as late as 1995, the Internet was still a word that had to be carefully explained to most clinicians. Though my proposal to bring the Internet to the 1996 Association for the Study of Dreams meeting in Berkeley met with great support from the board of directors, the idea that actual sharing of dreams might take place divided the organization and sent the idea into meetings, ethic committees and panel discussions. The boundaries of what might be considered clinical and non-clinical dreamsharing are still in contention. When is the approach to a dream a clinical intervention and when is it something altogether different? And where can some of the altogether different forms of dreamwork be utilized in clinical settings? Meanwhile, online experimentation continued. Dreams on Usenet began as an experiment by Jack Campin in 1990 to collect images from the unconscious of late 20th Century Anglo Culture. However, it soon became a meeting place for those who wanted more than to post their dreams in a public arena. Grass roots dream groups began forming and experimenting with the new connections the Net allowed. One of these groups, The Electric Dreams Community, devoted itself in particular to computer mediated dream communications. Two of the more interesting experiments included the Swarms, modeled on the notions of D&G rhizomatic connectivity and the Dreamwheels, an email offshoot of the work of John Herbert. John Herbert's approach online has been to create short, temporary groups that focus first on the non-interpretive aspects of dream image description and then move on to allow members of the group to wildly project their meanings within a play fantasy that the dream is really their own. All statements made about the dream have the implied "In my dream...". Instead of restricting interpretations, they are multiplied and proliferated. This technique was borrowed from a portion of Montegue Ullman's dream group techniques he developed for non-clinical dream support groups. The Electric Dreams community switched the groups from the public bulletin board style and tried a varied of email boundaries. Both of these Internet venues challenged the notions of singular identities, public and private, interpretive authority, and other ideas of location, space, time and connection. The Swarm began as an Electric Dreams invitation to the Internet community to have an Online Halloween dream sharing excursion. The idea was to start enough movement through the pre-set channels by propelling engaged Halloween beasts to create a critical mass sufficient enough to sustain new channels and fields of play. Dream texts, dream inspired art, dream interpretations and dream chat were to be the beginning connections that would hyperlink the swarm. The project drew participation from dream oriented web site, cyber-psychologists and groups such as the Fly-By-Night club, an organization devoted to the idea the dreaming can be fun. The results were less interesting than we had planned, probably due to the still nascent technology of the Internet. That is, many people were restricted to just e-mail, others to IRC, others to Usenet and their own Web sites. Many were unclear as to how to create multiple and anonymous identities with e-mail and other Net vessels. There was just not sufficient critical mass. Still, something stronger than possibilities were entertained and the experimentation continues everywhere online. Dreams continues to produce new connections and break into the older restrictions that surround them. There are projects in the works, for example, to connect all the dreams that get typed into the computer in the morning. These dreams can begin creating global and regional fields of connectivity as new assemblages become accessible in collective diagraming. Out the text and into the world Using the Net to break into the flow of normative textual channels is a large part of the Electric Dreams project. That is, you read this article, the text enters flows into your body, codes shift into new channels or harden into arteries. The e-mail list dream-flow receives dreams, comments on dreams and these are assembled, reassembled, published, distributed and allow the dreamer to transverse the flow of his or her own inscriptions. Some people set up web sites and spawn new connections. Over time, the site too may become just another brick in the wall, and join the hyperlinked rot system of lost URLs, but for now it may create a 90 degree break in our patterns. If you are not sure what to come and say, bring a dream. While the dream will never lose all its representational aspects, nor desire, we can begin to make room for the dream that plays with everything it comes into contact with. It plays with all kinds of authority, it plays with all kinds of taboos and boundaries, it plays with itself. When it begins to play with itself and its own boundaries, something new can happen. In this sense the dream is something that gets put into play, something that carries us away, that breaks into the territorialized flows of repressive authority and creates new connections and flows, turns us into nomads wandering the field of desire. It is said of Eros that he sleeps barefoot in the doorway. Desire breaks into the flows, creates new connections and them abandons them. It always overflows any boundaries culture imposes and produces more connections than any social structure can allow. We wake up in the morning with a dream in our eyes. Is this something to brush away or a doorway into the marvelous? Richard C. Wilkerson Bibliography Bib Notes: A. Most people know of the Knights of Malta, the Maltese Falcon (remember Humphrey Bogart?) and some know it was the most heavily bombed target in World War II because of its geophysical importance, but few know it has been a meeting place of east and west, Europe and Africa, archetypal male and female. Throughout its long history it has been the site of meeting and synthesis of many of the most important currents of human psycho-spiritual history. Invaded by everyone, it has thrived through cultural integration and religious tolerance. Malta has preserved its identity through colonization by Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Romans (and the nearby Sicilians), Byzantines, Arabs, Normans, Castilians, Knights of St. John, French and the British. One of Malta's best kept secrets (at least until the recently popular emphasis in the travel industry on "goddess sites") has been its well preserved neolithic sites. Malta has the oldest preserved temples in the world - predating the pyramids and Stonehenge! It has the oldest free-standing deities in the world. These statues of gigantic goddesses were found standing at the entrances to several of these neolithic temples and in niches in underground chambers the goddess was found sleeping on her side, incubating dreams. We have always wanted to visit Malta and for those who have travelled with us before it is a natural progression of our explorations. The only site with free standing images of the human form older would be the cave "Venuses" of the last great Ice Age, and we hope to get to see those as well on future trips. Finally, because of its location we will be able to stay in one hotel for the duration of the trip, which will leave us less exhausted after long touring days and allow more time for intensive dreamwork; and it will give everyone more leisure time for thinking, feeling, processing, art making, and exploring. On New Year's Eve we will have a gala dinner and we will participate with the Maltese as they celebrate the moment. We are treating the evening as a chance to mark this incredible night with people of like mind and interest, perhaps in some meditation, certainly in depth work with dreams, and in dream incubation. If weather and moon allow, we might be able to be at one of the neolithic sites for part of the evening (we believe it will be the dark of the moon at New Year, so this may not be possible). Who might be interested in this trip? If you want to greet the New Year 2000 with a spirit of high play rather than noisy partying; if you are interested in the evolution of Western culture, in myths, in goddess history, and/or in the Knights of Malta; if your passion is dreams and dream incubation, or if you=ve travelled with us before and want to add to your knowledge of the world's powerful sites, come mark the change of the Millennium with what we know from past experience will be a group of people of playful spirit, gentleness, depth and intensity, gathered together in pilgrimage to the crossroads of the Mediterranean. Some of the specific sites we'll visit are: !Hal Safliene: the Prehistoric Hypogeum (where the "Sleeping Goddess" was found in a niche in the underground chamber) !The Temples of Tarxien: a four temple complex where the remains of the 9 foot tall Goddess still stands at the entrance !Gozo (Calypso's island of the Odyssey): it is on this small neighboring island, which we'll reach by ferry, that we find the oldest temples in Malta - the Temples of Ggantija !The lovely fishing village of Marsaxlokk and the nearby prehistoric caves of Ghar Dalam and Tas Silg, the remains of a Carthaginian temple to Astarte !Hagar Qim and Mnajdra temple complexes, set on a beautiful sloping siteoverlooking the ocean; this is where the "venus of Malta" was found !National Archaeological Museum in Valleta, the capital city where finds from all these sites are preserved. !The Knights of Malta 16th C Cathedral of St. John and other sites to be determined.... !Optional side trip to Tunisia...we hope to offer this one day ferry trip to Tunis, to get a quick glance at North Africa and perhaps visit marketplace and/or Carthage... !we fly to Malta via London and depending on plane schedules, we may have a day in London, as well as an overnight.... Jeremy will offer his insights on the mythic sites (and how they relate to previous Myth and Dream tour travels to Greece, Turkey, England, Ireland,Wales and France) and Jeremy and Kathy will facilitate dream work (always voluntary, not a requirement!) in a leisurely but intense way. The price of the tour, like all Myth and Dream Tours, will include everything except a few meals (departure NY, double occupancy): $3375 per person, double occupancy (single supplement will be about $180). This price is as certain as we can make it at the moment, but we have been warned by airline agents that the airlines plan to charge "whatever they can get away with" for Millennium travel. We have built in a small cushion in case the cost for planes goes up, or the London hotel cost is more than we think, but it is possible the price will rise by $200-250 per person. If prices are lower than we think, we will reduce the cost. Additional costs: your personal calls, laundry, etc, some meals, travel insurance, airline cost to reach JFK (we will be able to offer an air package from San Francisco for less than the usual cost). How do you sign up? Get in touch with us as soon as possible. We need to secure and confirm with agents much, much earlier than in ordinary years. All hotels are requiring deposits up to a year ahead. So, we'll be moving on this quickly. Have more questions? Please call or fax us or email. We're happy to respond to all questions (there are NO dumb questions). 415/454.2793 phone, 415/455.0276 fax, email to ktaylor597@AOL.com. We hope you'll join us! The name of the God of Dreams "Morpheus" has been chosen for the simple fact that Morpheus is the Son of Hypnos, the God of Sleep, who is the twin brother of Thanatos... the God of Death. These Twins, Sleep and Death, are the Sons of Night and Chaos, and the faithful attendants of Hades. They are also called the "People of Dreams" for the simple reason that they inhabit the World which we, while sleeping, visit in Dreams. This World, according to the Ancient Greeks, is located just at the outer limits of the material world, close to the anti-world of non-existence, and is exactly the same World in which we go after Death. In other words, if you are interested in exploring and knowing all about the World of Afterlife... where the Immortal Ghosts of the Good Deads dwell forever and ever... and in which you will remain if you've been good or at least be transiting into, if you've been bad... in either cases, welcome to Morpheus... where you will get the rare and unique opportunity to discuss, along with some of the most talented dreamers of this era, anything about dreams under the auspicious hosting of the Top Oneiromancer in the World. So, if you wish to know about the Eternal Abode of the Deads and learn at the same time how to beat death and live eternally, simply let yourself be carried into the wide open arms of Morpheus... your best ally, the sole and only Light-Shedder in the Darkness of the World of his own Grand-Parents... Beautiful collection of artistically rendered dreams by Gail Bixler-Thomas "DREAMS: Art of the Collective Unconscious" invites dreamers to connect with their dreams by creating art and through self-interpretation. Artwork and interpretations (of real people) are shared on this site. The dream project was developed to raise general consciousness of the importance of dreaming via an Internet web site. Verbal invitations and email were used to gather volunteer participants. The following instructions were given: Record in writing a recent or recurring dream, in first person and present tense. (For ED V6 N1) Hi there! Welcome to ELECTRIC DREAMS - DREAMS SECTION for Vol. 6 Number 1 - January 1999 Hello dreamers! This month we have approximately 53 pages worth of dream enriched material starting with a Dream-Flow recap guest editorial by contributor Jay Vinton. We have several extensive articles by the one and only Dr. D again. Rich with dream citations from religious, philosophical and mythological sources, you may agree or not with the Dr's theories on dreams and life, but they are detailed, entertaining and thought provoking. In the feedback section, DrD (the Winged leader - renown for the voluminous quantity of his commentary) and Heratheta (the directional guru - cryptic to the point of enigma) go 'mano a mano' on approaches to dream theory. Heaven and Hell, or left and right - find out for yourself! The Dr expounds on dream theory with various dream examples in the RELIGIOUS RELATED dreams section. The theme of Dreams as a Key to the Kingdom within is explored. In the SERIES section, the theme of dream Ghosts, begun last month, comes to a conclusion. We also have a less scholarly exchange on more mundane dreams, most of which have strong statements for their dreamers. Check out the disappearing heart in SOUL SEEKING EYES, the evil wolf in BIG BAD WOLF, the creepy alligator in ALLIGATOR ATTACKS,and other horrors of the night sprinkled throughout. Sounds like the Friday the 13th, Halloween and the Child's Play 'Chucky' movies all rolled into one! On a less grotesque note, check out WORKPLACE for a view of a PLEASANT OCCURRENCE or is it harassment? Under JOURNEY, we have an extensive dream like SPIRITUAL TRIP. Under HOSPITAL and WATER unusual experiences develop in tents and deserts. Put your wet fingers up to test the winds with Heratheta's commentary. Finally, a Mystic mirrored Cube poses a challenge under MIRRORS. Enjoy this months ED. NEW CATEGORIES: [NONE] GUEST EDITORIAL: DREAM FLOW ==Commentary from Jay E.Vinton on Dream Flow (981211)== Dream Flow.... . . the dreams flow by. then i start swimming back up stream, back to where i first entered the cybernet dream flow, alt.dreams, back in 1994, reawakening my interest in things dream related. before there were web browsers and urls. as best as i remember events.... . shortly after i started reading alt.dreams, which was full of so much extraneous noise, another member, chris beattie, a student at university of wisconsin, stevens point, asked that those interested in more serious discussions contact her and she would set up a mail list for us. we did and she did and we started sending in dreams and comments on the dreams. later in the year, i think, cathy decker took over the list, and then toward the end of 1994, another member, richard wilkerson, offered to take over the mail list and molded it into the ezine electric dreams. richard has been such a wonderful energetic enabler of the cyber dreams world ever since. in the beginning, he even contributed dream interpretations. when the editing started to be too much for richard, up stepped bobk to handle the dreams section of e.d. what a treat to have met him in person at a dream group here in washington d.c., a group led by rita dwyer, a leader of the association for the study of dreams which also has it's office in the d.c. area. almost as good as living in san francisco. richard has also been instrumental in bringing so many other dream people online, including a.s.d. and the a.s.d. home pages. along the way i have had so many wonderful dream related exchanges with members of the e.d. community, including many of the dream wheel dream groups run by richard and chris hicks and others and also participated, off and on, in several dream groups in the d.c. area. my life has been greatly enriched and deepened as i have drifted with the flow of dreams and waking life. As we approach the the New Year 1999, I think about the march of time and the end of the 1900's. It is a milestone and moment for us to think about all the changes that this century has brought ... ================================================== Thanks for sharing Jay, and thanks to those who have shared their dreams and commentary with our community. See you next time in February 1999. Hasta La Vista! +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ FEEDBACK FROM THE DREAMERS == Commentary on Heratheta's Directional commentary by Dr.D (981128)== Dear Heratheta, thank you so much for your silly little comments about the last posted dream of Nutcracker which indicates something very important from the fact of Barb's Father's absence in that most interesting dream. To be honest with you, Heratheta, I have some difficulty understanding your left and right vain weathervane approach to dreams. Not that I mind so much your "aerated" psycho-illogical comments, but I would appreciate if you would post one of your nightmarian dreams, once in awhile, just to laugh a little. :) Here is your last posting, just for fun,... nutcracker dream indicated peace from "funny" had lain to the right of the bar. as to the question about death, who's name in this dream was "funny"; the death of all of us is out there, c'est vrai, though for some of us it is coalescing faster than for others. thus, the dream has many ages in itself. it is then a matter of whether you chose to take on these ages or let it the dead bury the dead. as for dr. d's perspective, it wasn't as easy to find buried under all his references as nutcracker's hatred, merci. --------------- END ed-core.v001.n159 --------------- Oh! Boy, Heratheta, what the hell are you trying to talk about? You definitely sound as a Dead, merely existing in your ephemeral Dead Material World,... and, in any cases, you certainly don't know Lady Nutcracker at all, because there is absolutely no hate inside that beautiful, most precious and gentle highly dreaming "divinely clairvoyant" soul... so Ican't understand what you are trying to say and I'm not the only one. As truthfully stated by Nutcracker, she has truly been exploring the parallel reality with me... and has been devoting hundreds of hours studying, researching and discovering all kinds of facts about the OtherWorld which we visit in dreams. As far as I'm concerned she, Nutcracker, is,one of the oldest souls around as well as one of the best dreamer in the world... followed very closely by Mark Gerard Miller. I've just mentioned these two most excellent dreamers because they have both been exploring the dream world with me and consequently they know better than others what dreams are all about. There are of course several other excellent dreamers on this list, like Ladies Ione and Mary Baes and so many others who, being totally misguided by modern so-called psychological enlightment theories, unfortunately don't have a clue about the true meaning of dreams and who don't know what to think about or what to do with their dreams... like the Blue Rose and so many others indoctrinated in Jungianism. Too bad so sad,you know. As a recapitulation, dear Heratheta, you should be able to remember that last year Nutcracker posted her "Revelation" dream which clearly indicated that God, the Avatar, the Christos, the Messiah, the Prophet, the Messengeror the Embodiement of the Primordial Soul of the Universe or whatever youmay wish to call him... was coming to town!!! As far as I'm concerned that was best "Magian" dream of the year which she propiciatedly, in terms of the First Born from the Deads, had a year ago during the month of the Deads. :) Now, all the universal Holy Scriptures declare that when God comes in the flesh... this rare phnomenon known as the Advent is solidly confirmed in dreams... and the amazing dreamer of Nutcracker just happens to be a Diety who is an attending Diety to another one and to be honest with you she is a kind of Barometer of the bearing of God's soul, to say the least... and she,as a dreamer, serves her main purpose quite well unlike many others. One of the best example of a total failure up to date, although the person is allright, is poor Ione who had a dream of the Coming Avatar but who, too blinded by raking materialism, has not woken up nor did anything of what the dream had commanded her to do, unlike Father Joseph, the boy friend of Mother Mary, who, paying attention to his dream, took care of Jesus a little whileback... "...An Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said:"Joseph, ......... . ........". When Joseph woke up, he did what the Angel of the Lord had commanded him..." (Very important words exposed in Matthew 1.24) ... but, even then it is a known fact that unfortunately only a few are elected even though all are called... why do you think that people dream? "For the Days of the Lord are coming..... . And it shall come to pass afterward, saith God, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. Even on my servants and handmaidens I will pour out, in those days,my Spirit; and they shall prophesy." (Words of the Lord himself revealed to the prophet Joel preserved in Joel 2.28-30 in the Old Testament and, due to their crucial importance, repeated in the New Testament in Acts 2.16-18.) This, dear Heratheta, is a known fact. God speaks in dreams and dreams are divine messages even though all kinds of bullshitter try to pretend the contrary and that will be the cause of their doom at the moment of death. Now, Heratheta, please take the time to investigate and look around and you'll see that all the Universal Holy Scriptures concord in stating that this personage, known as God or by all kinds of other names, is expected now and my dear friend he is here as prophecised. Point Final! Do you wish to pretend the contrary? For your good info, if you look read carefully, Jesus was most likely the most hated person of his time and all the Jewish, Pharisees and Romans all wanted to kill him because he was going around saying that he was God...which was true! :) Anyways, dear Heratheta, your postings obviously show that you don't know nothing about dreams, nor of the nature of your soul, nor nothing about the language of the soul... and this guy is coming to clearly explain all these things and to change death by a great knowledge, the Highest Science of All, the Ancient Wisdom! In consequence, dear Heratheta, even if you may, in your intellectual blindness and laziness, prefer and choose to spit on him like many did a couple thousand years ago and totally avoid, ignore and disown him...remember that nothing in this world goes unnoticed... and besides, I amfully aware of the fatal and final outcome of such foolish behaviour which, caused by ignorance, the mother of all sins, leads to a very miserable reward on the other side... because there is no escape from the world ruled by the First Born of the Dead... (Revelation 1,5)... as confirmed in Psalm 126... "When the Lord turned again the Captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing;then said among them the heathen,The Lord hath done great things for them. The Lord hath done great things for us;whereof we are glad." "Turn again our Captivity, O Lord,as the streams in the south. They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him." "Turn again our Captivity, O Lord." ------------------------------------ You see dear Heratheta, you are all captives..."He fastens my feet in shackles; he keeps close watch on all my paths." (Job 33,11) ... and he will reward you according to your deeds... "Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but who cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the one who can destroy both soul and body in Hell."(Mat. 10,28) Anyways, dear Heratheta, as stated in Revelation 9,6, he will come and prove the existence of the Spiritual World and the fact of the immortalityof the soul and the misconception of Death... "During those days men will seek death, but will not find it; they willlong to die, but death will elude them." (Revelation 9,6) And finally, all this divine knowledge shall be revealed by his interpretations of dreams... because he is the #1 Dream Interpreter in the Universe... "Do not dreams' interpretations belong to God? Tell me you dreams."(Genesis 40,8) ... and as a final advice and wise recommendation, please try to meditate upon the following words... "He, who does not believe in the true dream, does not believe in Allah nor in the Day of Reckoning." (Most important words of Mohammed) ... and if you think that I'm buried under lots paperwork, don't worry because the grave of the King of the Ages has split opened... and the lenghty story of the multitude of lives of this Immortal Primordial Soul, better known as "His Story" or "History" is rather never-ending... and definitely quite long for lazy mortals like yourself who can't appreciatethe fact that it takes more time to write than to read... just like cooking takes longer than eating. Regardless, take care, Heratheta, and please, for your own eternal sake, spare yourself the disgrace of exhibiting your ignorance in public and refrain yourself, even if you think that you're a pretty good left and right dancer, from speaking through your hat about divine Nutcracker whom you don't even come to the height of the delicate ankle of her tiny feet... or from other Unvaluable High Dreamers because you'll eventually find yourself, as you may wish, rolling to the left and and to the right in your bed... tormented by funny dreams beyond your wildest imagination... "Yea, it shall be at an instant suddenly, that thou shalt be visited by the Lord of Hosts... with storm and tempest...and shall be as a dream of a night vision." (Isaiah 29, 5-7) ... and try thinking about what type of dreams would you like to suit yourself with to be able to understand? Get thunderbolted... or cut in pieces and shipped all over the universe, trampled by a hord of furious horses or any kinds of other tailor-made oneiric wraths? Would you like me to send you a Menu? "For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth not. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed; then he openeth the ears of men, (terrifies them with warnings) and sealeth their instruction." (Words of Elihu, in Job 33.15.....Holy Land, sometimes B.C.) Here, for the fun of it, are a few funny ones which some people had about themselves or others...demons killing me in my sleep. This entry submitted by k on 3/12/98. (Courtesy of Waking World) Message: I had an extremely peculiar dream last night (I've been having many lately). Actually I've got some sort of strange insomnia. I'll sleep for maybe 2 hours -- like a corpse. Then the rest of the night I'm tossing and turning...sooooo much. Anyway, in my dream these dark lumbering shadows were suffocating me...i kept losing consciousness until finally i felt my astral body touching a bloody mushy corpse which was my own. Immediately, I found myself in some sort of vehicle speeding through time and space. I entered this warehouse, which kind of looked like this alternative 'church' warehouse i used to hangout at....but it smelled like the cd warehouse i used to work at. There were tables like at a club....and i saw some people i knew from school. I jumped on the table and started screaming. Everyone started laughing at me. Alarmed that i had just done this, i tried to explain that THEY (aliens/demons/etc) were after me.....but instead of listening they just kept looking at each other and laughing. Then one of the guys asked if i was'going out' with anyone, and as soon as i said 'no', one of the other guys came up behind me and kissed my tatooed shoulder. ...Then, my ex-bestfriend/boyfriend appeared and started saying he knew exactly what happened. He explained the whole thing in perfect clarity, which he had a tendency of doing as i recall......and right then i felt so safe....like I wasn't the only one. The problem is i only feel like i understand while he's there, as soon as he goes away, i tend to focus on his being 'gone' rather than thinking about what his words were... I kept getting flashbacks all through the dream of all the details....felt like the demons 'raped' me and then killed me.... Another thing, when i woke up, a friend called me and said she dreamt i'd dissappeared of the face of the earth....which was a little startling ... So....anyone want to do a dream-analysis? i'd appreciate anyinput/suggestions/interpretations.... ..................................................... This entry submitted by k on 3/24/98.Message: In my dream last night I was chasing around 3 little spiders and trying to kill them. I think it's true -- that killing the bug means killing something you don't like about yourself. I've been trying to kill some of my sub-personalities lately. It must really be consuming my mind to be dreaming about it. Of course, in the dream I was also hit by lightning... it was strange -- Ijust remember first seeing a bird get hit -- it lived the first time, but was having trouble breathing...I felt so sorry for it. Just then it hit again and died. Then I got so paranoid it would hit me that I probably attracted it. Immediately I felt myself displaced -- only for a split-second. Then I fell back into my body as a sharp pain in my head entered me. No one believed me though... coz it didn't show. Hmmmm.... .................................................... ...and, although I have a boxful of these most hilarious dreams which indicate exactly the kind of reception these souls will have entering the other world if they don't change, and some much better than these, but since I don't have much free time here is a last extremely funny one for today... *************** I had a dream some time ago that one of my friends, somehow, angered this HUGE guy. (Not BIG, I mean like 60 feet tall.) Anyway, he suspended her in the air about 10 feet, Star Wars style, and for about(I think) 5 minutes dream time she was repeatedly hit with constant bolts of lightning. She was screaming the whole time, at him to stop and for me to do something, but I just had to stand there and watch. I couldn't move. Eventually, she just fell to the ground, dead. Then I woke up.Help? I don't get nightmares very often, but this one was horrible.- Tw) ******************* ... quite inspiring hey? And in any cases, believe me Heratheta, you shall then see why God created dreams... "Now Allah has created the dream not only as a means of guidance and instruction, I refer to the true dream, but he has made it as a window on the World of the Unseen. " (Words of the Prophet Mohammed, Arabia, 7th century A.D.) ... and I challenge you, Heratheta, or anyone else to try explaining the reason of Barb's Father's absence and also why nobody appreciated Nutcracker's joke in that dream? Anyways, seems like the the time has come, dear Heratheta, to show us your perspective of the correct interpretation of that fairly uncommon and yet most revealing dream involving Ghosts of the Defuncts... and that of course, only, if you have sufficient brains and clairvoyant intellect to be able to explain these simple workings of the Other World. I'll give you a few days to try explaining this and then I'll tell my version about the sense of the message. Merci beaucoup and don't take my words as mean, light and impolite remarks but rather as solidly based, thoughtful, brain stimulating and provocative reminders so much appreciated by the crowd in public oral debates as in the Pythic Games in Ancient Greece or as in the Examinations of Divinities in Tibet in a more recent past... in slower times and fine societies where the people were less brainwashed and still had the wonderful faculty and the spare time to think about these clear and simple fundamental existentialist questions in regards to fact of the immortality of the soul, the existence of God and the spiritual world and ghostly afterlife... and all the rest of the Greatest Science of All... which knowledge and wisdom is revealed and derived from the correct understanding of the true nature dreams!!! "Grasping the True nature of Dreams, May I train myself in the clear Light of the Miraculous Transformation." Try grasping it while you live... because at the moment of death it will be too late!!! "O procrastinating one, who thinketh not of the coming of death,Devoting thyself to the useless doings of this life,Improvident art thou in dissipating thy great opportunity; Mistaken, indeed, will thy purpose be now if thou returnest empty-handed from this life." Modern doctrines about dreams are wrong... because dreams come from outside and not inside... and may they be recognized as OOBEs into the Other World... "When the apparitions of the Peaceful and Wrathful forms are dawning upon me here,Let it come that I, obtaining the assurance of fearlessness, may I recognize the Bardo."(These last three statements are from the Bardo Thodol.) ...the Bardo, Dreamland, the Spiritual World of After-Life, Valhalla,Paradise, Champs Elysees, Abode of the Deads, Land of Shadows... etc. Best of Luck, Darling, along with best wishes for tender loving oneiric kisses from Morpheus, Dr. Deus PS: Nutcracker, alike all of us, is simply the victim of her dreams which are not the fruits of her imagination. So don't go around blaming her for the generosity of sharing among us the products of her talented Magian abilities. Jealousy leads nowhere! == Commentary by Heratheta on Dr. D's dreams as ghosts (981205) == i should also like to thank dr. d for his earlier remarks which include the admission that these ghosts (dreams) are mass killers. i was in new orleans last new years eve, love to go there when my dreams are in the east, and i find this is a good day to talk to and about dr. d. i'm learning a little french so i shall reply to dr. d's request that i put one of my dreams up to his scrutiny with this french proverb quand on parle du loup, on en voit la queue. au revoir, tony i should like to ask dr.deus if he is familiar with the account of a brother who struggled with an angel in his dream and woke up with an injury to the hollow of his thigh as a result of the struggle in his dream. He then decided not to imitate his dream and struggle the next day but instead he decided to make PEACE with a long lost brother who he had cheated many years earlier. These accounts in my readings are few and far between of people being marked in their dreams though I have read similar testimonies from those marked by aliens, extraterrestrials, ghosts if you will, in dreams or dreamlike states. Those who have not had these experiences but still believe them I salute for I doubted these experiences until i had one. Those I have read about who have had these experiences have had then the fear of god, ghosts, angels, aliens, bardos, whatever you may like to call them instilled along with a generous amount of respect for the deadliness of these experiences. The deadlines being either immediate injury or hypnotic seduced suggestion leading to ultimate martyrdom in the name of the dream. Those who have only the faith are like the innocents throughout the ages who have followed leaders, religiopolitico, having only seen them or heard them but not soon enough having experienced the stench of death these leaders leave in their wake. Just being in wonderful dreams is like going to the movies and watching wars celebrated by those in the king's court who make the movies based on mad visions, dreams, ghosts, in glorious conflict. these wondered are cannon fodder and carrion in the king's divine rite arsenal. Getting the hell out of the abouve is the truth that sets you free. Right on!, away! ... there are three worlds of course: heaven, hell, and peace. the first 2 are different aspects of conflict while the 3rd is immutable. 1&2 are a merry go round preparing themselves while 3 is a witness throughout eternity of 1&2's mortality. the first two are spirit while the third is soul. the first two are dream while the third is the dreamer. We go home to a house I lived in when I was younger, I walk in the door and my mom pops her head in and the wolf runs out and slams the door and decapitates my mom. I run screaming into my room with a butterknife and hide under the bed. The wolf comes in and looks for me but cant find me so he jumps on the bed for a while. After a long time the jumping stops and I wait for what seems to be hours and decide I might look out. That's when the wolf looks under the bed and screams as loud as he possibly can. That's when i wake up all freaked out and stuff. I have this dream every couple of months or so. As I clean my unclothed self in a makeshift private shelter, I know that a male I really like is looking at another female rather than at me. I feel like I am being ignored, and wonder what I have to do to attract his attention. I realize that I have the capability of being very insightful since I can see inside and outside of the tent! FEAR [What scares us] ** Dream: Aligator Attacks by Scott (981128) ** Dream Date: 11-26-98 3 a.m. I find myself in an unfamilar place,a house, with a long front porch, very much like a La. delta wood-frame house. I see a chain-link cage-pen of sorts out in the yard. I notice my dog Carlie, out near the pen and barking. I go out to investigate. As I near the pen, I hear a squeal from my dog and begin to run to the pen. I now can see a monsterous Aligator that has punched a hole into the bottom of the chain pen on one side, and it now has my dogs head in its mouth. Fear as well as enraged anger wells up in me and I grab a wooden bat that is laying in the yard. I attack the Gator raining blows about its head. The first couple of blows gets a reaction from the Gator and it lets go of my baby dog, but now I find myself having to back up as the Monster Gator turns towards me.... mouth wide open and hissing loudly...I now am terrified and engage in a dangerous game of cat and mouse,as I runaround the pen trying to keep the gator opposite me,looking for a chance to run across the yard to the house. In an unexpected move the Gator burst through the hole in the pen ..crossed the pen and speared the other side that I was standing behind. Its massive head broke through about halfway the length of its snout..momentairly stuck. I took this opportounity to run toward the house. About half the distance, I looked behind, and my heart jumped into my mouth. I saw this 15 foot Gator up on its fat little legs quickly gaining on me in a full run. As I neared the porch, I leapt through the air and the Gator slammed into the porch. Its beady eyes studied the porch and the steps and quickly made for the latter ... I engaged the monster with the bat raining blows at the head and nose, keeping it at bay at the bottom of the steps..I tired, but it pressed the attack again coming up the steps... I now turned and fled into the house turning to slam the front door, but the Gator had hit the door entrance and the door meerly bounced off its snout and it forced its way inside. My terror was now paralizing me and I stumbled backwards and tripped over some funiture...My last memories of this terrifying dream was the Gator closing in on me and grabbing my right leg and with a whipping of its head I was thrashed to and fro...then ...blackness...I awoke drenched in sweat. A man who I have never met before approaches me and says " I know you always wanted to meet a necrophiliac". I say "yes". He tells me that he knows one and asks me to follow him. Then I see this 10 year old boy standing on a sand dune.I find myself thinking that he can't be one. He hears my thoughts and says "I am really a necrophiliac. I eat my own dead flesh". Then he starts biting his fingers and tears the flesh off. He shows me his hands. I can see his bones covered in blood. I feel disgusted. I'm reminded of the movie "English Patient". Though there is pain and suffering, there is also a pleasant, sensual attention to body. Many people are naked. Cassidy stops to help a woman with some physical therapy. She shows her a way to streach her leg muscles to straighten her leg. I go on across the floor and out. I go down a forested area along a road to where my tent is. An unknown friend is with me. I have lots of things in the tent, as if I were on an extended safari or exploration. A middle aged man, maybe younger, is in the tent looking at my camera. He is quite impressed and says "you know what it is you have here don't you?" I say yes, really before I recall, and have to think about it. He comments about it being especially made to take photos of planets and other heavenly bodies. I tell him it is especially set up for the area near the rings of Saturn and Jupiter. I find my roller-blades and leave. My friend heads up to a meeting. I put on the roller blades and skate up the hill. It is delightful and I'm quite amazed that I have learned to do this. I think for a moment that this must be a dream, as I can't really roller-blade. But I forget this and return to skating up the hill. == Commentary by Heratheta on Encampment (981211) == peace had lain to the right of the hospital if you had avoided "reminding" yourself and others until the next dream i also want to thank the dreamer out west who had tried this technique with thoughts which do not help us avoid dreams. HOUSE [Where our lives take place] HOTELS [Temporary Dwelling or Special Event location] JOURNEYS [Missions away from our home base -explorations] ** Dream: Spiritual Trip by LaoTsu (981212) ** I was in a car riding shot gun.....there were three people in the back......The driver pulled up infront of this big building and I got out alone, and walked into the building. It was a huge room as far as the eye could see there were church pews with thousands of people seated in white gowns.....I turned and began walking down an aisle to the right ......a guy came up to me in a white gown he was all bent up like a parapalegic and he is smiling and he says "DO YOU REMEMBER ME ,I MET YOU INFRONT OF VELLEGIA'S LAST YEAR I HAD CANCER". The next flash in the dream I see this friend who had died a couple of years earlier and he was laying in a hopital bed (he had had MS all his life) he sees me and he has this big smile on his face and he says "what are you doing here?" The next flash in the dream I am in the back of this building and there is a high wall with a ladder way up high beyond any kind reach, and I says out loud "if I had a hand I could get up there" immediately this hand appears and lifts me up and puts me on this ladder, when I got to the top I heard a voice behind me say "oh oh they se us we are in trouble" well there was this cat walk and thnese two men came walking up to me and I said "I'm sorry" the younger guy took me by the hand and helped me on to the walk and we began to follow the older guy into what looked like a control tower as soon as we got inside the older guy stepped into what looked like an abyss taking a plastic man giant step. I got scared and said to the younger guy"where are you taking me?". What he says "don't worry we are going to the drug store". Next flash in the dream I am standing on a shoreline with this huge triangular rock behind me and a fishing rod in my hand.......I had a catch and when I pulled back on the rod this huge fish jumped out of the water on my line...to which I says....."wow I wonder if he has a sister" Next flash I am actually the fish looking into the shore line and there are huge rocks all along the way with people fishing from them.............all the way on the left side was this beautiful blonde haired woman frishing. I awoke .....during this period in my life I was waking up and writing my dreams down. I was very involved with following Jesus.......and I was having all these really neat dreams.......I had decided that it wasn't a church or a relegion but my own intuitive relationship with Jesus that I was developing...... The next dream in this sequence during this period.......... This old bald headed guy is standing there with a finger pointing up in the air and says......"I want to know the truth" to which I say,"WAIT A MINUTE I 'M GOING TO MAKE A PHONE CALL". Next flash in the dream I walk up behind a truck and all these tiles begin to fall on me I moved out of the way and crossed the street and this 30 story building began to fall on me......I saw a light up in front of me and I began crawling to it up this sand... The next flash I am up in the clouds and I am face to face with Jesus......the two of us up in the sky and he looks just like me........ There was no door, only six mirrored surfaces, the four walls, ceiling and floor. The floor was the only solid surface among them. You could jump on the floor to float up to the ceiling. I went over to one of the walls to touch it. I put the palm of my hand against it and it rippled like tossing stones into water. The surface was neither warm nor cold. The cube was darkened, yet ambient light was coming from an undisclosed source. Out of nowhere, a man's hand and forearm appeared through one of the mirrored walls. His hand outstretched to me, palm up, as if urging me to take him by the hand. It was the arm of a young man; strong and inviting. Should I take it? What lies on the other side? Romance? Heaven? Will I be able to come back once I leave? My heart is racing, my breathing shallow. As I step toward the hand I realize that I cannot see my reflection in any of the mirrors. Only the hand and arm reaching out to me is reflected in them all. I take hold of the hand and discover it to be as cold as stone. I back away as it withdraws back inside the mirror. On an opposite wall, a woman's hand now reaches out for me. And from above, the hand of an Angel. The sleeve of it's gown is finery the likes of which I've never seen. It is salmon/melon colored and shimmers like gold. Part of the Angels wing peeks through the mirror. Each feather in fine detail, soft and baby pink. Is this a hand I can trust? Dear Genevieve, I'm so glad that you answered to my message. This has to bethe loveliest message which I have received in ages. Thank you, you make me feel like somebody. Genevieve, believe me, you can in full confidence cherish that dream because the Lord is within you!! Yes!!! Let me explain... Jesus wants you to keep your head warm because it is the seat of your intelligence and his world exists, just as he does...just as he says in regards to the coming of his Kingdom... "The kingdom of God does not come visibly, nor will the people say,"Here it is," or "There it is," because the Kingdom of God is within you." (Luke 17,20-21) Darling, the recipe is very simple... "For the Days of the Lord are coming..... . And it shall come to passafterward, saith God, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. Even on my servants and handmaidens I will pour out, in those days,my Spirit; and they shall prophesy." (Words of the Lord himself revealed to the prophet Joel preservedin Joel 2.28-30 in the Old Testament and, due to their crucial importance, repeated in the New Testament in Acts 2.16-18.)... and it all happens in your precious lovely head. Please, keep it warm!! In other words Genevieve, the seal of the Lord's presence is on yourforehead. (Rev.9,4) As far as I'm concerned... you're a Holy Woman,...and the Lord iswithin You and taking care of You because he visited or appeared to You and You're a witness that he is still alive! Genevieve, You're beautiful inside out! God blessed You! Take Care! Cheers! Gerald PS: Here is my crazy article... and honestly, I would have looked smarter if I would have met you a few hours before. :) No problem. God works funny ways! Dream: "Revelation" by AngstRidn@aol.com (971114) ** God, in (male) human form, was going around the town telling everyone to meet at a specific time, at a certain place the following day. We (my family) gathered up food (roasted chicken), clothes and whatever items we could fit into a smallbag to take with us. The place we were to all meet had stadium seating built into a hillside, overlooking a lake or ocean. The next day arrived and we hurried to get into our seats. Far up in the sky, off to my right, the clouds began rolling furiously, turning this way and that and they were in beautiful colors of melon and gold. Amidst the clouds came God, riding in a white chariot. There was a mermaid standing behind him wearing a green sequined mermaid type outfit. As we sat there waiting for God to pass above us and take us either to heaven or hell, I said to the people on either side of me, "I wonder if I'll go to heaven? I've never killed anybody and I'm truly sorry for anyone's feelings I've ever hurt." Although I had already seen and heard God speak (in the flesh), I was afraid that I wasn't worthy enough to meet him face to face and by all rights, he should shun me. In an instant, people were gone from the stands, some to heaven (me) and some to hell. Others were left behind, like my sister, so that they could stay on earth and start a family before God came back for them in three years time. (11/13/97) ........... "Are you not in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God? When the dead rise... they will be like the angels in heaven." (Words of Jesus in Mark 12,24-25) ****************** And now my dreaming friends, am I not once again catching you all in error? Can't you realize that, while you are in the flesh, Dreams are the Gate into the Other World??? "Now Allah has created the dream not only as a means of guidance and instruction, I refer to the true dream, but he has made it as a window on the World of the Unseen. " (Words of the Prophet Mohammed, Arabia, 7th century A.D.) Dreams are a Window on the Other World!!! Yes! Yes! "The Kingdom of God does not come visibly, nor will the people say,"Here it is," or "There it is," because the Kingdom of God is within you." (Luke 17,20-21) "You are right in saying that I am a King. In fact, for this reason Iwas born, and for this I came into the world, to testify the truth." (John18,37) Words of Jesus to Pilate after he had said the following... "My Kingdom is not of this world." (John 18,36) Can't you see that??? That's the Kingdom Within when you are in the flesh and the World that you which you visit in dreams and later go into after decorporation whether you like it or not. Point Final!!! Can't you see the Kingdom Within? If you can, please stand up and recognize it... otherwise your're going Bye! Bye! Material death is nothing... because you live beyond it... but if you fail to recognise the existence of the Other World and the King of the Spiritual World, you will be destroyed in Hell and that is the Second Death, the only true death!!! "But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars - their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death." (Rev., 21,8) Welcome to the World Within! "Dear friends, now we are Children of God, and what we will be (afterdeath) has not yet been made known. But we know that when he "appears", we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure." (1 John 3,2-3) "The kingdom of God does not come visibly, nor will the people say,"Here it is," or "There it is," because the Kingdom of God is within you." (Luke 17,20-21) What kind of drawing do you need? The Kingdom of God is within you!!!!"For the Days of the Lord are coming..... . And it shall come to pass afterward, saith God, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. Even on my servants and handmaidens I will pour out, in those days,my Spirit; and they shall prophesy." (Words of the Lord himself revealed to the prophet Joel preservedin Joel 2.28-30 in the Old Testament and, due to their crucial importance, repeated in the New Testament in Acts 2.16-18.) ******************** It's always like that... when he comes in the flesh he is the most hated men of all... it is true... almost everybody wanted to kill Jesus... theJews as stated in John 8,48-59 also the Pharisees as mentioned in John11,45-53 ... and of course the Romans... and all were plotting to take his life... and they eventually succeeded! "But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be King over them - bring them here and kill them in front of me." (Luke 19,27) But, bear in mind that in the other world he is the most loved of all...and whether you like him or not... he is your Eternal King Forever and Ever! "The Kingdom of the World has become the Kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ and he will reign forever and ever." (Rev., 11,15) "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." (Rev., 21,3-4) Anyways, I don't need to re-write that book which is already written, but if you can't understand that dreams are divine messages and if you prefer to believe liars who say any kind of idioties about dreams... well, you'll sure look funny with your bathing cap when the time will come for the miscreants to take a swimm in the fiery lake of Hell! Happy Swimming! "The time has come for judging the Dead, and for rewarding your servants the prophets and your Saints and those who reverence your name, both small and great - and for destroying those who destroy the earth." (Rev., 11,18) Yes! He will destroy those greedy materialists who destroy the earth! In any cases, welcome to the Great Kingdom Within You from which there is no escape... but in which you are extremely well treated... exhalted as they say as long as you learn to behave like children! :) OK! Now we will get into another mode of discussing about dreams and I would like all of you to pay attention to the 4 following dreams... A)- The dream of Jesus of Nazareth by Genevieve (Jenny)... already mentioned above... B)- The following dream of Jesus again...My dream about J-e-s-u-s This entry submitted by Cindy on 9/12/98.Message: One night several years ago, I had a most profound dream which has never left my memory to this day. The dream began with me sitting in a very exclusive restaurant, with white table cloths and candles. I noticed that I had a jeweled purse of some kind, which I grabbed as I was leaving. I then noticed,I was standing in front of a mirrored wall and could see myself clearly. I looked like my present self, only with a full head of gray hair and was wearing a pin-stripped skirt suit. This was very unusual to me because at the time of my dream, I was flat broke and going through very hard times. I then, noticed a man wearing a white robe and sandals. He hadlong brown hair and a full beard, and I saw him as J-e-s-u-s . I immediately knew that he was responsible for my luxury living.I said to him, "who are you?" His reply, "just bless me." And with that, he went through a set of double glass doors to exit the restaurant. I followed him out, but he was nowhere to be found. A group of very small people (possibly midgets) grabbed me and dragged me up a small flight of stairs. They pushed me down to the ground and began shoving cotton in my ears. Sometime during this dream, I also remember being shown a set of what appeared to be condominiums. They were beautifully colored and very well kept. I heard a man's voice, which I took to be God, speaking to me. To this day, I don't remember anything spoken beyond hearing the name Benjamin Franklin. I have researched many books relating to him in libraries and watched documentaries onTV about him trying to understand the connection. I have my own feelings about this dream, but I would love feedback from others. Someone may be able to enlighten me to a deeper meaning than what I see. Copyright 1997 Waking World C)- The following dream of Mary...Gift from Mary Posted by stephanie on April 15, 1998. I had a dream which had two parts- in between I woke up very upset - then I went back to sleep and dreamt part two. Part one was like a wake up call. After awhile (and much help from my husband), I fell back asleep and dreamt this: I went to a large temple/church where I saw a vision of Mary in blue and gold. She was like the statues of a goddess in ancient Greece and Rome. As I got closer I saw a shining coin in the palm of her right hand. She held it out for me to take. I took it and I stepped back. When I looked up next her face zoomed in very close and she nodded twice and blinked twice to me. I thought she must have given me a gift and perhaps will help me? I just don't know what the gift of a coin means. If anyone has any ideas I would really appreciate reading them. ********************* D)- The following dream of Mohammed, courtesy of Dreamthread... Dream of the Week of 11 January, 1998. The Ramadan Dream. During the holy month of Ramadan, I was awake and praying during a very holy night behind the Imam and several lines of people in my wheelchair. Suddenly while I am totally awake I saw the following, (as a vision): I came foreward and took the place of the Imam and he took my place in the prayer. I am seeing myself as a completly healthy person performing the prayer. I was leading the prayer with several hundreds of people. In front of my face was the holy almighty Allah Chair. Light is coming out from that place only and all other things are darker. The chair is suspended in air. On my front left side, I saw winged angels. They all looked like giants. The Prophet Mohammed is coming under the Almighty chair from my right back side. I, looking very happy, stopped Mohammed, asking him to ask the God to forgive me if I did any thing bad and asked Him for guidance to win the heavens. He smiled and tapped on my shoulder and asked me to do it myself, speaking directly to the Almighty. He pointed out that Allah can hear me and see me and that He will do it. As for the guidance, He told me to read the Koran more and stick to prayers. ****************************** And now my question is: Are these "Apparitions" as clearly stated by Holy Scriptures or simply the Fruits of our Imagination as modern scholars try tomake us believe? And my first arguments are the Transfiguration of Jesus, the Apparition ofthe Lord to Aaron, Myriam and Moses, the Apparitions of Jesus in several dreams of people and of course the dream of Sennadius...The Facts on File Encyclopedia of World Mythology and Legend by Anthony S. Mercatante copyright1988 published by Facts on File of New York and Oxford, ISBN 0-8160-1049-8 "Sennadius, Dream of" is on page 579, and is item number 2643. "Sennadius, Dream of: In Christian legend, a dream recorded by St.Augustine in one of his epistles to prove that man has two natures."Sennadius was a physician who did not believe in the duality of man's nature and consequently in a future life. One night an angel appeared to him in a dream and asked him to follow. The angel took Sennadius to the confines of a city, where he was 'ravished with celestial music' that the angel told him came from the voices of perfect spirits. Sennadius thought no more about the dream when he awoke. Sometime afterward the angel appeared to him again, recalled to him the memory of the former visit, and then asked him if the vision had occurred while Sennadius was awake or during sleep. Sennadius replied,'During sleep.' 'Just so,' said the angel. 'What you saw and heard was not by your bodily senses then, for your eyes and ears were closed in sleep.' 'True,' said the physician. 'Then,' continued the angel, 'with what eyes did you see, and with what ears did you hear?' Sennadius could not answer. The angel said, 'It must be evident, if you see when your bodily eyes are shut and hear when your bodily ears are closed in sleep, that you must have other eyes and ears beside those of your material body. When, therefore, your body sleeps, that other something may be awake. When your body dies, that other something may live on.' " ********************* And I personnally challenge anybody on this topic, so-called High Scholars, PhDs of anykind, Theologians, Metaphysicians and any other kind of "Don't Know Betters" who intentionaly or not lie to people all the time, for the sake of material profit!!! "Are you not in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God? When the dead rise... they will be like the angels in heaven." (Words of Jesus in Mark 12,24-25) "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; about your body, what you will wear. .... O you of little faith! But seek his Kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well. Do not be afraid little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the Kingdom. Sell your possessions and give to he poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will not be exhausted, where no thieves comes near and no moth destroys. For where your treasure is,there your heart will be also." Finally, there is a Vast Eternal Kingdom Within You... which you visit in dreams... and where there is a King, known as the King of the Universe, who presides over everything eternal, even eternal life and the second death. Therefore, let me put my index finger on the temple of your head and pretend as if it was the gun of the second death and please answer the following question to the best of your knowledge... "Do you, now, believe in the Kingdom of God that you visit in Dreams?" Believers who will stand up and say Yes!... will be rewarded and the rest will be condemned. As Nostradamus, one of the most recent incarnation of the Spirit of the Lord said..."Nostradamus loge ici o se trouve le Paradis, l'Enfer, le Purgatoire.Je me nomme la victoire.Celui qui m'honore aura la gloire.Celui qui me meprise aura la ruine complete." "Nostradamus inhabits here where is found Paradise, Hell, Purgatory. My name is Victory. The One who honors me will have Glory. The One who despises me will have total doom." Ave! Lord of the Universe! All who will die salute You! Best Regards, Dr. Deus == Commentary on About Absent Ghosts of Defuncts!by Dr.D (981215) == Dear Dreaming Friends, It appears, judging by the prevailing silence, that everybody more or less agrees with my knowledge or may be opening themselves to the fact that we transform into some beautiful immortal ghosts after death. Anyways, let's now try to figure out what happens to missing ones... are they lost in a black hole in the cosmos... or where the Hell are they? First of all, let's review some data... beginning with Nutcracker's dream posted earlier on the Core... Subject: challenge Dr D's viewpoint? Date: Thu, 19 Nov 1998 11:31:17 -0800 First I'd like to thank Dr. D for his rousing rendition of 'Day of the Dead' dreams. What a way to go, huh? It would have been extra spooky on Halloween, n'est ce pas? As usual, it was quite entertaining to say the least! Nobody can interpret them like the good ol' doctor, and I should know, having intimately explored the parallel universe with the Winged Leader on numerous occasions. On the cosmic applause meter, Dr. D deserves a standing ovation! I don't suppose anyone lurking out there would care to challenge Dr D's viewpoint? If not, why not join us in our explorations with some serious discussions about dreams and learn something new. Everyone's welcome. The purpose of this post leads me to relate the dream of the dead I had after reading his column. It went something like this: Dream: "Fancy Meeting You Here" by Nutcracker A group of us had gone out to a bar for some entertainment (all former classmates). My best friend, Barb, owned the bar, which had been left to her by her father when he died. Her mother also joined us, though she disapproved of Barb keeping and operating the bar. She wanted Barb to become a writer instead. I didn't see why she couldn't do both. We were all drinking, dancing and having a good time. Barb sat down to talk with her mom about the situation, when suddenly her mom said, "Don't sit in that chair. Your father's sitting there." I guess she could see his ghost, though none of us could. I was dancing with another girl (it was a fast song) as there was a shortage of men to dance with. We were having a blast. Finally, we were the only two left dancing as everyone else sat and watched us. Meanwhile, Barb had gotten up to take care of some business and then went back to finish her talk with her mother. Before she could sit down, I jokingly yelled out, "Don't sit on your dad." I thought it was funny, but nobody else laughed. I hate it when people can't take a joke. (11/14/98) F&F Comments by Nutcracker: In real life, both of Barb's parents are dead (and no, she doesn't own a bar, she's worked for the same company for nearly 30 years), so my question is (to whomever wishes to respond), why in the dream then, does one parent appear alive and the other dead? Nutcracker Now, I have another one in this category... where did I put it? Oh! here it is... From: "Pat...S" Subject: Re: Dreams Date: Sat, 5 Dec 1998 09:17:54 -0600 I was surfing the net and found Your article very interesting, as I had a dream that really puzzled me. and have been taught that I shouldn't pay attention to it, as it is from Satan. But the dream was very real. Although it happened years ago,I still can't forget or fully understand it. After My Grandmother passed away, Whom I was very close to & lived with, I had a recurring dream of her. In The dream, I knew she was deceased and I was surprised to see her. Overjoyed to see Her again, I asked her if She was alright and if she was Happy, & still loved me. She answered Yes to all the above. The last dream I had of her, was different, she acted evasive, said she had to go, When I asked if she would be back, again She was evasive. that was the last dream I had of Her. "On a one on one". so to speak!. I had one other dream of her right before My Mom was killed in a car accident "Her Daughter". I dreamed I was in a room, and beside me was My Grandmother crying Her eyes out, I was trying to comfort her, when a door opened in the front of the room. When I looked to the front of the room, there was a coffin, with My Mother in it, then I awoke. Several months later My Mother was killed. I often wonder if that really was My Grandmothers spirit, and if it was why did she go away, and I never had such experience's since. Any information given would be deeply appreciated. Sincerely, PS ********************** OK! Now, I replied to Patricia and told her the following... among other things... Dear Patricia, Your dreams all are Most interesting and I will have to think about them a little. However, I have seen other dreams with similar behaviour... regarding the Ghost's absence... and believe that I know the reason. I think that I would have to get the account from a woman from a nearby village... to demonstrate that theory in regards to their temporary absence!! *********************** So, I finally called this woman by the name of Josie, from St-Hubert of Temiscouata, who had told me a dream, a couple years ago, about her deceased Grand-Father which, if I remembered well was of similar nature. Fortunately last night I was able to speak to her, by phone ... but she has a boyfriend... I'm telling you that just in case... :) ... and regardless, she told me the dream once again... and it goes something like this... "The dream begins when Josie, leaving her boyfriend and the kids in the car, walks in the Old Timers' Rest Home where he was living shortly before his death and surprisingly there was a chapel in there and the Mass was being celebrated and just about done. Her Grand-Father, walking out into some open stairway came to her and said... "I don't think that I'll be able to return (home) by myself!" ...because he had a bug in one of his eye...like a mosquito or something similar to that and that was bugging him terribly and impairing his vision. At that point Josie's mother who is alive came to help him and they went to a Funeral Parlour where, later on, the Grand-Dad was sitting by a door waiting to step on the Other Side!! Then, Josie and her Cousine, went to him...and asked him "How it was on the other side? Was it nice?" and regardless of his reply they, both crying, implored him to stay... "Please don't go away Grand-Pa! Please don't go!" ...and with a big heart he said, with tears in his eyes, feeling their deep sorrow... "I can't." ...and simply turned and walked away. Later on in a glimpse, we were she said in something which felt like an Hospital where suddenly he appeared dressed as a Fireman... all young and beautiful and just walked through without paying attention to them!!! ************************* How wonderful?! Pow! Now, these three dreams indicate something most important in regards to what happens to some ghosts on the other side. For your kind info, Josie Grand-Father has never been a Fireman... so, why was he dressed as a Fireman? The reason is very simple! He was going to the Fire... the cleansing and healing Fire, because of the tormenting Bug in his Eye... as clearly indicated in Matthew 5,27-30... of which this is the main passage... "If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to loose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into Hell!" Consequently, my dear friends, there is an important lesson to be learnt from these 3 dreams which clearly teaches that those things which you may consider normal in this adulterous and sinful world do not go unnoticed. Do not think only of the pleasures of the body... making love with the one you're with is wonderful... but adultery, even though it feels the same for the material body... it will dirty your soul! Keep Clean, otherwise you'll certainly be requested to go and cleansen your soul in the purifying Fire of Hell where in the context of a short visit is called Purgatory... where the Prince of Demons or Devils, as Jesus himself, in his wrathful demoniacal form, was called, as stated in Matthew 9,34, Luke 11,15 and Mark 3,22... will surely await your visit. For all of us who have been raised in Christianity, it is hard to conceive that when comes the time to settle some dirty business, the Finger of the Lord or the Spirit of God when in a angry mood can become the Terrifying Belzebub, Himself!! as underlined in Matthew 12,25-28, Luke 11,18... where he explains that there is no dissention, between Satan and God, in his Kingdom. Actually, the people were so scared of Jesus when he was speaking of these things that when he was talking and ordering to Demons... and doing miracles with them... such as in the amazing story in Mark 5 which brilliantly exposes the incredible power of commanding to Hords of Demons that the people were so afraid of Jesus that they pleaded him to leave their region!! (Mark 5,17) In the name of Jesus, how come the christian priests never tell us that much that the Lord, the One who causes all dreams and visions, commands both Hords of Demons... as the two thousand of them mentioned in Mark 5,12-13.... as well as Legions of Angels as stated im Matthew 26,53 at Jesus' Arrest..."Do you think that I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than 12 legions of Angels." And this my friends, shows the Dominion of the Christos upon everything that exists in the both Worlds, including Heaven and Hell. However, most people have trouble understanding this little fundamental law which comes in automatic application when the Primordial Soul of the Universe comes in the flesh... "The foolish mock at the Supreme Lord Krishna when He descends like a human being. They don't know His transcendental nature and His supreme dominion over all that be." (Bhaghavad-Gita) "Whenever there is a withering of the Law and an uprising of lawlessness on all sides, then I manifest Myself. For the salvation of the righteous and the destruction of such as do evil, for the firm estabishing of the Law, I come to birth age after age." (Bhagavad-Gita, Book IV, Sutra 7,8) So, I guess this explains a little the nature of the temporary absence of some Ghosts as well as a little introductory explanation of the nature of the very interesting dream of Aissa... "The Devil and Me"... in one of his numerous Daemon Forms. "I form the light, and create darkness; I make peace, and create evil; I the Lord do all these things." (Isaiah 45:7).... from the Old King James' Version Oh! Well, may His will be done on Earth as it is done in Heaven... and Hell! "Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but who cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the one who can destroy both soul and body in Hell." (Matthew, 10,28) Well, that was quite entertaining! Any Questions? Thank you, Dr. Deus PS: The following is about Hermes, the First One to ever proclaim himself to be the Light of the World... the Christos, which in Greek means Celestial Messenger... In Mead, "Thrice-Greatest Hermes", an invocation to Hermes is addressed to "the Good Daimon Sire of all things good, and the nurse of the whole world," where Daimon, as Mead suggests, stands for the "Father-Mother of the Universe." Ref. Glasson, "Greek Influence in Jewish Eschatology", p.69. Also, in "Works and Days" of Hesiod, Daemons are "Spirits of the Men of the Golden Age." The desert seemed somehow really familiar like I'd seen it somewhere before or had been there somewhere before only last time it wasn't a desert. It was warm but not too hot, the sky was rich blue and the sun was shining in the sky. I was walking along the desert with the sun in front of me. I suddenly thought that I should find water - not so much because I was thirsty but because I knew I would be, and also I thought at the time I didn't want to let my skin dry out. At that point I was aware of my mother and sister walking behind me, but I didn't actually see them. I tried to find water by walking along as I had done before but I couldn't. I looked around, and suddenly realised that there were lots of other people in the desert. All the people were black and naked, some had animals with them like brightly coloured cows or sheep. They were all spread out but none of them seemed thirsty so I knew there was water somewhere. I came across one woman and asked her where I could find water. She said she'd think about it. I turned to my mother and sister and I think my father who were standing behind me now. My mother mentioned the fact that the woman was pregnant. I didn't think she was. When I turned back to face her, I realised that she was heavily pregnant, and I didn't realise it. The woman said that she would help us find water, so we walked across the desert rather than along it. As I followed her I felt this tremendous sense of trust in her. Suddenly, there were little puddles of clear water around my feet. I stopped and drank from one and clearly remember saying "That's the best drink in the world". The water was fresh and slightly warmed from the sun. Then I realised in front of me was a huge and beautiful river. I wondered why no one was in the river swimming. Then when I looked again I realised that actually lots of people were. Next thing I knew I was in the river, swimming. I felt quite safe, and swam out with my little sister to what seemed like a beach, but I couldn't touch the bottom so I decided it would be best to turn back. As I swam back, I noticed that just under the surface there was a blanket of green seaweed type plants that were incredibly soft and stroked my legs. I worried that they might tangle around my ankles and drag me down. I passed my mother, who was swimming in the opposite direction with a lot of other people, and she mentioned that there was a lot of jelly fish in the area, and I couldn't avoid them. I hadn't noticed them before and I couldn't see them, but I was aware of their presence under the surface of the water quite near the bottom. I was a bit uncomfortable about them being there, but I wasn't really scared. WORKPLACE [Where we make a living] **Dream: A pleasant occurrence at work by Magnolia(981124)** ended at 6:00 a.m. November 24, 1998 I was working (perhaps taking notes) in my boss's office (someone I admire a lot). He took off his pants in order to relax, and put his arm around me to continue working with me. I was filled with a sense of relief and gladness, and anticipation -- perhaps this meant that it could go further at another time. But mainly that he must indeed like me. Comments by Dreamer: Does this dream indicate anything related to my relationship with this individual--is it prophetic of anything else? ==Commentary on A Pleasant Occurrence by Bob K.(981219)== Well this dream is a great example of how events and symbols have different meanings for different people. I wonder how many women would would have found this to be a very unpleasant experience, even if the boss were a person they admired very much? If this dream were mine, it would indicate an attraction to the boss Symbol, and the realization of getting closer to those things that the boss represents to me like leadership, authority, power, and aspects of his style of work - not necessarily an indication of a potential sexual encounter. The individuals in our dreams are more often symbolic of aspects of ourselves rather than representations of their waking reality counterparts. As an example of the Freudian interpretation of dreams as a wish fullfillment, if the dreamer would like to have a closer relationship with the boss, then this dream would be expressive of that wish. Is it a predictive dream? Well, I believe that just like our conscious thoughts, our dreams explore all the alternatives before us and in doing so may from time to time end up being predictive of future events in one way or another. It is up to the dreamer and the mysterious powers of fate to bring about those events that shape our lives into waking reality - a reality where just wishing rarely leads to materialization. Thanks for sharing Magnolia. WRITING & WRITERS [Communication and creativity] = = = = = = = = = = = == DREAM SERIES == Commentary by Dr.D on More on Apparitions and Dreams of Ghosts of the Departed! (981126) == Dear Dreamers, in order to terminate the Month of the Deads on a proper note and to strenghten your convictions about the existence of the other world, lets use some Holy scriptures' passages to pinpoint and illustrate the widely common phenomena of Apparitions of Ghosts in dreams... in conjunction with the Resurrection of the Deads. In english, unlike in my french mother tongue, you use two words for apparitions, namely "apparitions" and "appearances", while in french we have only the word "apparitions" although, in the spiritual context, we may also use the term "manifestations" which is also used in your language. Anyways, once it is clear in our minds, that the manifestations ofany Ghosts of the Deads or of Animal Spirits "in dreams" was known in the past as "Apparitions", the understanding of any Holy Scriptures of the Universe becomes clear like pure spring water... because then you know what they are talking about and you dont have to be a Genius, a Wizard or a Sorcerer to see this... just a smart dreamer with a little bit of intellect... under the guiding clairvoyance a Real Dream Interpreter to open your sleeping eyes. Let me briefly illustrate with a few most appropriate words from the Bardo Thodol, the Tibetan Book of the Dead..."Grasping the True nature of dreams, May I train myself in the clear Light of the Miraculous Transformation. May I recognise whatever appareth as being Spiritual Forms, May I know them to be Apparitions... When the apparitions of the Peaceful and Wrathful forms are dawning upon me here, Let it come that I, obtaining the assurance of fearlessness, may I recognizethe Bardo." ... which clearly indicate that it is from the Dreams of the Ghosts of the Deads that we can prove the existence of the Other World that we visit in dreams. However, since most of you don't even care to possess a copy of the Bardo Thodol and that you read with more attention the National Enquirer and can relate better to the often divine illustrations of PlayBoy and PlayGirl Mags more than you do with the precious words any Holy Scriptures... let me try to illustrate this precious phenomena of Apparitions of Ghosts of the Deads with passages from the Christian Book of the Dead, better known as the Bibliis Aranum Arcanum or the Great Book of the Mystery of Mysteries more vulgarly known again as the Bible. I fully realise that most of you don't believe in nothing that has been written in this book and can only see some use in it as toilet paper, and that's quite understandable with what the stupid priests like Saint Jerome and some Popes have done with it... but still, if one looks carefully, you will see some passages which fortunately have not been adulterated by these materialistic people who don't have any clue about true Spirituality. So, pay attention to the following words which have been written for your own eternal sake... and I'm not kidding... "In Gibeon, the Lord appeared to Solomon during the night in a dream, and God said, "Ask for whatever you want me to give you." (Words of King Solomon preserved in 1 Kings 3,5) ...can you capiche this? You see, here the word "apparition" is included in the verb "appeared" and the Lord, in the Ghost Form of a Previous Life, appeared to Solomon, his New Mortal Incarnation... in a Dream!!! Let's see one more time... "Do not be afraid, Abraham, I am your shield and your very great reward." said the Lord to Abraham in a vision of the night, as reported in Genesis 15.1 and he added..."A son coming out of your own body will be your heir." ... this is very simple language... and how can a man give birth to a son? This is exclusively about the spiritual birth of the Ghost drawn to the image of the flesh body! Let me show you another example...You are all aware of the Transfiguration of Jesus, which is described in Luke 9,28-34, Mark 9,1-10, and Matthew 17,1-11,... when he was seen in adream (Luke 9,32), by Peter, John and James, talking with Moses and Elijah, two of the previous Horsemen of the Winged-Horse... who had been dead fornumerous centuries... "Peter and his companions were very sleepy, but when they became fully awake, they saw his glory and the two men standing with him."(Luke 9,32) "...the appearance of his face changed, and his clothes became as bright as a flash of lightning. Two men, Moses and Elijah, appeared in Glorious splendor, talking with Jesus."(Luke 9,29-31) ...you see the Ghosts of Moses and Elijah made an apparition and appeared in Glorious Splendor... and spoke and at the end of this story the Apostles were discussing about the Rising or Resurrection of the Deads!!! (Mark 9,9-10) So, you can understand the meaning of the famous words of Jesus..."Except a Man be Reborn, he cannot see the Kingdom of God." (John 3,5) ... and "I and the Father are One. (John 10,30) ...and this is the same phenomenon in all the Holy Scriptures and Mythological Accounts everywhere and compare again with the interesting Celtic Oneiric Anecdote of the hero Cu Chulain... from extracts of the"Celtic Mysteries "by J.Sharkey p.10 & 11... "The great epic Tain Bo Cualgne, "The Cattle Raid of Cooley", shows the warrior hero Cu Chulainn single-handedly defending the Northern Province against "the Men of Ireland". In one episode, when the champion is badly wounded and needs a respite, the Sun-God Lugh of the Long Arm himself appears.... walking unconcernedly through the carnage of the battle. "Who are you?" Cu Chulainn asks the Ghost Warrior. "Your Father from the Outerworld am I,... Lugh of Enthliu. Sleep awhile, Cu Chulainn," says the Radiant Warrior, "and I will oppose allduring that time." He examines each wound so that it becomes clean. Then He sings him "men's low strain" so that Cu Chulainn falls asleep." "The Ghost Warrior from the Sidh, "a man born not of a woman" tells Cu Chulainn to sleep, "for they have no power over your life at this time".In the bardo state, the Hero is neither dead nor awake; like Arthur asleep below the hillside, he is "once and future king" - ritually bound as a cosmic embodiment of the Ancient dream state." You see, once again in this Apparition account where Lugh of the Long Arm "APPEARS" to Cu Chulain it happens "in a dream" and this very natural and normal oneiric phenomena, which has been called by some as "Transfiguration".... is a universally well-known phenomena when a ghost of aprevious life, a Spiritual Father of the Otherworld, appears for guidance and/or instruction. But, not only Ghosts of the Departed appear... also Eternal Spirits also known as Angels also appear the same usual and most conventional way... "...An Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said: "Joseph, ......... . ........". When Joseph woke up, he did what the Angel of the Lord had commanded him..." (Words exposed in Matthew 1.24) " And the Angel of God spake unto me in a dream, saying "Jacob": and I said, "Here am I. ......" (Words of Jacob, in Genesis 31.11....31.16) ...so, I don't know if you begin to get the picture, but here is the story of another great Biblical Apparition from Maccabeus... 2Mac3 22-30[22] While they were calling upon the Almighty Lord that he would keep what had been entrusted safe and secure for those who had entrusted it, [23] Heliodorus went on with what had been decided. [24] But when he arrived at the treasury with his bodyguard, then and there the Sovereign of spirits and of all authority caused so great a manifestation that all who had been so bold as to accompany him were astounded by the power of God, and became faint with terror. [25] For there appeared to them a magnificently caparisoned horse, with a rider of frightening men, and it rushed furiously at Heliodorus and struck at him with its front hoofs. Its rider was seen to have armor and weapons of gold. [26] Two young men also appeared to him, remarkably strong, gloriously beautiful and splendidly dressed, who stood on each side of him and scourged him continuously, inflicting many blows on him. [30] they praised the Lord who had acted marvelously for his own place. And the temple, which a little while before was full of fear and disturbance, was filled with joy and gladness, now that the Almighty Lord had appeared...... The following from 10,29-30, which narrates what happened in the Lightof the Rising Sun...is even more revealing.... 2Mac10 29-30[29] When the battle became fierce, there appeared to the enemy from heaven five resplendent men on horses with golden bridles, and they were leading the Jews. [30] Surrounding Maccabeus and protecting him with their own armor and weapons, they kept him from being wounded. And they showered arrows and thunderbolts upon the enemy, so that, confused and blinded, they were thrown into disorder and cut to pieces. ... how interesting... the phenomena of Apparitions...and again in11,6-11..... 2Mac11 6-11[6] When Maccabeus and his men got word that Lysias was besieging the strongholds, they and all the people, with lamentations and tears, besought the Lord to send a good angel to save Israel. [7] Maccabeus himself was the first to take up arms, and he urged the others to risk their lives with him to aid their brethren. Then they eagerly rushed off together. [8] And there, while they were still near Jerusalem, a horseman appeared at their head, clothed in white and brandishing weapons of gold. [9] And they all together praised the merciful God, and were strengthened in heart, ready to assail not only men but the wildest beasts or walls of iron. [10] They advanced in battle order, having their heavenly ally, for the Lordhad mercy on them. ... you see my friends these are stories of oral debates relating to the apparitions of Ghosts and Spirits. If you can see and understand that you'll be doing fine... and here is another example showing another Apparition of the Spirit of the Lord...as stated in 2 Kings 2,11-15... "And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a Chariot of Fire and Horses of Fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up to Heaven in a whirlwind. And Elisha saw it, and he cried, "My Father! My Father! The Chariot of Israel and the Horsemen thereof."" (11 & 12) ... and this exactly the same type of Apparition as the one of Nutcracker in her "Revelation" dream. However, the best accounts of Apparitions in the Bible remain the Apparitions of Jesus after his death... First of all when he died all the Ghosts of his Previous Incarnations appeared to many people, in dreams of course... "The tombs broke open and the bodies of many Saints who had died were raised to life. They came out of the tombs, and after Jesus' resurrection they went into the Holy City and "appeared" to many people." (Mat. 27,52-53) Hey! What a real Hallows'Even that was... with the Glorious Holy Ghosts coming to town!!! Yes! all the Ghosts of Adam and Amen (Amon) and Abraham and Moses and Elijah and Solomon and David and Apollo and you name them...and that is a very well known phenomena that when a Saint dies, for whatever the reason, natural or not, all the Ghosts of his Previous Lives appear in dreams to all kinds of people. Yes! this is true and I have on hand several accounts of deaths or burials of other Saints like Adam and Moses and Buddha and Padma-Sambhava and it is always the same spiritual ritual where the Ghosts of his Previous Lives come to escort his New Ghost into his Kingdom. Regardless, of this known phenomena, he alone, after his material death, made countless apparitions to hundreds of people, as we can read in several places... "... that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according tothe Scriptures and that he appeared to Peter and then to the Twelve. After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brethen at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep." (1Corinthians 15,4-7) ...and talking of sleepers, he also appeared in a different form, which I am aware of, as stated in the following words of Mark in Mark 16,9 to 15... "... he appeared to Mary Magdalene..." (16,9) ... "Afterward Jesus appeared" in a different form" to two of them... (Women of Galilee)... " "Later, Jesus appeared to the Eleven... He rebuked them for their lack of faith and their stubborn refusal to believe those who had seen him after he had risen. He said to them, "Go into all the World and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptised will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned." (Mark 16,14-15) Wow! and you know the people were all confused, in those days just as you are today, about the Kingdom of Jesus because they believed that ..."...The Kingdom of God was to appear all at once." (Luke 19,11) ....and this is the final remark of Jesus in this story..."But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be King over them - bring them here and kill them in front of me." (Luke 19,27) Wow! how profound! You had never heard Jesus speak like that...like a real mass killer!! Well what he says is true because this is how he treats miscreant and ungrateful idiots who disown him when he comes in the flesh in the material world upon their after death arrival in his spiritual world... "Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but who cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the one who can destroy both soul and body in Hell."(Mat. 10,28) ... and still one of the best accounts of his Victory over Death is in his Apparition to Paul, whom Jesus was calling Saul, in which he told him the following... " "I am Jesus whom you are persecuting," the Lord replied. "Now get up and stand on your feet. I have APPEARED to you to appoint you as a servant and as a witness of what you have seen of me and what I will show you." (Acts26,15-16) You see, these are Apparitions and these apparitions occur in dreams...because it is in dreams that Ghosts appear and are seen living eternally after death. Do you still have any problems with that very normal oneiric phenoma of Apparitions in dreams??? I hope not... for your own sake... because it is written that... "...He has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the Saints in the Kingdom of Light. For he has rescued us from the Dominion of Darkness and brought us into the Kingdom...." (Colossians 1, 12-13)... in the context ofhe knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding which is the knowledge of God... (Colossians 1,9-10)... and of his Kingdom..." ... and Jesus still appears to people in dreams. Quite often too. "He is the image of the invisible God, the First-Born over all Creation. For by Him all things were created; things in Heaven and on Earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things and in himall things hold together. And he is the the head of the body, the Church; He is the Beginning and the First-Born among the Dead, so that in everything he might have the Supremacy." (Colossians 1,15-18) Anyways, my dear Dreamers, you may not be aware of this but, when you dream and are in Dreamland, you are just like him in your own glorious spiritual and immortal bodies and as such you are called the Children of God... "And now dear children continue in him, so that when he appears we may be confident and unashamed before him at his coming." (1 John 2,28) ...and yes, he is coming and not only that, if you can acknowledge that the Rider on the White Horse is him, Faithful and True and that you have his Seal... the Horse of the Apocalypse... on your forehead, (Rev.9,4) you'll be all right... as his child forever... "If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone who does what is right has been born of him." (1 John 2,29) ...because even if you only thought that you had been born from your physical mother... your Immortal Ghost Body, your Robe of Honor as the Muslims say, is created by God... "Dear friends, now we are Children of God, and what we will be (afterdeath) has not yet been made known. But we know that when he "appears", we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure." (1 John 3,2-3) ...and this is true my dreaming friends, because when you see apparitionsyou are also in the same Ghostly Form yourself!!! Can you see and realise that this higher knowledge purifies the soul? Quite subtile but most simple!! Ignorance is the mother of all sins just as wisdom is the mother of purity. Well, finally, just in case that you don't believe in God's existence nor in none these dreams which all emanate from Him and of which you are the victims, like Revelation of Nutcracker, Buddha Baby of Ione and etc., which clearly indicate that he, "The Rider on the Horse" is here, accordingly to the world prophecies... "Vishnu will return as Kalki, the last Avatar, on the Horse amid fire and flame, blazing like a comet." (Kalki Purana)" Sosiosh, will be brought down on a Horse in a "tornado of fire." (MagianZend-Avesta) "And I saw heaven open and behold a white horse, and he that sat upon him....is called the Word of God...amid flaming fire (thunder and lightning)... (Rev.19, 11) "The Lord(Christos) shall be revealed with his mighty angel in flaming fire." (2 Thessalonians 1,7-8) ...and, just in case that you still fail to understand, let me give you another dream, this time from Mrs. Rita Deuman in which you will see him in his different forms as the Army of Heaven, as "the Chariot of Israel and the Horsemen thereof "... which dream is basically the reconstitution of one of his previous lives as the prophet Eli, as described in The Second Book ofthe Kings. The funny thing about this dream is that Rita doesn't know aboutthe Bible. ************* So, I again prepared for another trip. I gathered a curse to fill one hand (which could already be someone else's prayer), and in the other I carried a prayer (that could be someone else's curse). In a finger snap, I was there standing before His Magnificence. The Big Man, the Lord Himself, stood ten feet before me. God looked at me and asked, "Where's the White Horse?" "Oh," I briefly pondered and remembered the White Horse. The Lord had given me a White Horse and said: "Should you get off the White Horse for any reason, it will be your DOOM. You'll not come back a thief twice." Quickly, I replied, "I didn't get off the White Horse. It disappeared. It was stolen. The Death Rider has it now." I clearly remembered the day that the mount disappeared. I had placed my ear to the ground and I could feel the vibrations of the horse's hoofs as the rider approached. I could hear the approaching Rider say: "You lost the cold war. You lost the cold war." I quickly explained: "When DEATH appeared, it came like a herd of speeding, stampeding horses and ran over my counterpart. My poor soul mate lay there almost dead. There was only a tiny spark of life. I could see by the dust cloud that the herd had circled and was now waiting on the high hill to the right. They were waiting to stampede again." God said, "So." I couldn't understand what God was saying when He Spoke. HIS words placed me beside myself. "So," I blurted. "So, is something that I would expect from a mere mortal. Certainly, not from the likes of YOU." Again I pointed to the horses standing on the high hill and asked, "Don't you see those horses?" God lifted his arm. By each horse appeared a standing soldier. Each soldier was holding a horse's mane high. Both a horse and a soldier stood at the top of the hill to which I was pointing. Then God slightly moved his hand backward, and the hill became a full circle. I saw many horses standing at the top of the full circle, but I woke before I saw if each standing horse had a soldier. All I could remember was that my chosen horse-figure had an identification sign, saying: "United States Pharmacopeia." The End of Dream. Now, dear Rita, your "Truth" dream is very good.... and let me show you the Horses... and the Horsemen of the Apocalypse... Take your Bible... and go to 2 Kings... 2,11-16... were you will get introduced to the Horse of Fire, the Chariot of Israel and the Horsemen thereof... and to the Spirit of the Lord which carried him!!!6,16-17.... were you will see these Horses and Horsemen placed in circle on the Hill... exactly as you described!!!13,14... the Death of the Rider... which shows that Elijah who ascended on the the Horse of Fire was the Ghost of Elisha or material incarnation of Eli... who were both "The Chariot of Israel and the Horsemen thereof!!! 23,11 ... the destruction of God's Temple. Awful destruction but excellent text!!! ...and then go to the Book of Revelation...1,5... where you will see who is the First-born from the Deads... the living Death Rider!!!6,1-8... where you will see the Horsemen of the Apocalypse!!!9,7-11... where you will see the Army of Heaven!!! 19,11-16... where you you will see the White Horse, the Angel, the Throne of God!!! ...and, finally my friends, I told her that the medicinal knowledge of the Winged-Horse Rider is the one which can cure the sick material World in which we live... and if there is a part of the World which is awfully sick right now, it has to be the United States of America which imperialistic materialism is destroying the physical side of the World... which happens to be the school of the other world... "Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world - the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does - comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever." (1John 2,15-17) Therefore, I have a few questions for you and my first question is... "How many examples of Apparitions of Ghosts of the Departed do you need to be able to understand these simple little oneiric things which confirm the existence of the spiritual world?" ...and my second question is... "What do you believe to be the purpose of your ephemeral presence on Earth?" ...and my third question is... "Why did God create dreams?" ...and my last question is... "Why can't you see the Other World?" If you can't answer these most simple questions with all the solid examples which I gave you and you still fail to recognise the existence of the OtherWorld... don't count on a reward after death... because, it is a known fact that it is easier for a camel to go through the hole of a needle than for a greedy materialist to enter Heaven ...(Mat.19,24, Mark 10,25 and Luke18,25)...and only the ones who will recognise the New Living Incarnation of the Creator will be allowed to enter his Everlasting Kingdom... because greedy materialists only take everything from God who gave everything and don't give nothing back and therefore are considered as thieves of the creation!!! And here is the final extract from a dream of Rita Deuman, entitled "God Visits" once again to illustrate the fate of greedy materialists who makethe world really sick... *************** I was awestruck. The nine-foot narrator had moved to the archway center. I noticed that the ground did not tremble. Again I stared at the large blurred human image. The figure pointed to a feather, saying, "What is my World War prize, too, doing here?" Shrugging my shoulders in an "excuse me" manner, I answered,"How should I know?" The massive figure formation had faded and reappeared. I could hear my thoughts. I noticed that the figure had moved again, and the ground still did not tremble, as the dream itself had led me to believe. The phenomenon, calling itself God, reached for the feather and pulled it down. The feather had turned into a pill as it was dropped into an outstretched hand. The narrator spoke: "You will know ME by MY name." I saw the pill, which also emulated the words: "It shall be etched in stone, and hung high in the Heavens for all of eternity to witness." I looked closer at the pill. Its fine print magnified into a large clear written verse, "What God gave to the world, they would not give to His son." The dream jolted me awake. So, try remembering as stated in Revelation 19,11 that the Winged-Horse Rider has a name written on himself that he is the only one to know which is... "King of Kings and Lord of Lords" ...and as declared by God himself..."It shall be etched in stone, and hung high in the Heavens for all of eternity to witness." ... in dreams and may the understanding of true nature of dreams help yousee the Light of the Miraculous Transformation which could, if you wish, make you live beyond Death. "Thou shalt understand that it is a Science most profitable, and passing all other sciences, for to learn to die. .... I shall give thee the Mystery of this Doctrine; the which shall profit thee greatly to the beginning of Ghostly Health, and to a stable fundament of all virtues."(Orologium Sapientiae- from "The Book of the Craft of Dying" ...Comper's Edition) "Are you not in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God? When the dead rise... they will be like the angels in heaven." (Words of Jesus in Mark 12,24-25) And to be honest with you, as previously stated, Jesus of Nazareth still appears in dreams to lots of people... For example: Jesus of Nazareth, Posted by JENNY on October 25, 1998 at 16:28:44: at Tigers' Nest. I dreamed my pastor (female) was dressed in white and singing on a hill.next thing I know I'm following Jesus down this long hall,he was all in white,& sandals,he had a shawl like thing draped across his shoulder. Halfway down the hall he put the shawl like thing over his head. I continued to follow him down this hall. Before we reached the end of the hall he turned around and handed me the shawl,I wrapped it around me and I could feel the warmth of his body in it.I will never forget the look on his face and those beautiful eyes! He just stood there smiling at me,then I woke up. Only serious people please tell me what this means! ****** Thank you and Bravo! Jenny...and as you can see folks, this person is a very nice soul to get such a nice visit and reward. What a beautiful and warm apparition of Jesus... who is still fine and well in his Glorious Ghostly Immortal Body. Thank You! 2000 years old young Jesus! "But we know that when he "appears", we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure." (1 John 3,2-3) Oh! I love these dreams... don't you? Can't you see Him? Why can't you see the Immortal Ghosts... because I see them in my dreams and in the dreams of others... and most people do and when we do that, we are also in our individual immortal Ghost Bodies? How miraculous??! And that's the way it works! That's all! And please do like Jesus suggests,"Keep your head warm"... because what's inside, if it ever thinks a little, might save you, if you can recognize and acknowledge the presence of the Other Kingdom?!
